Okay so when I was first diagnosed the recommendation from the doctor was that I exercise for at least a 1/2 hour everday and he stated muscle toning and cardio vascular so today.... being spring is around the corner or kinda here actually I pulled out my hula hoop.  I was gonna go outside but because it is still a little cool outside i just cleared a space in my living room LOL... anyway do you think that hula hooping for a 1/2 hour would fit the criteria.. well today so far has only been about 15 minutes... i couldn't go any longer i couldn't breathe.

I have a  hoola hoop but my hoop won't hula!  turn   Yes, that is aerobic exercise so that could easily be enough.  I walk for at least a half an hour and that's not nearly as strenuous as the hoola hoop!  Congrats!  You did good.

Hi Melisana, Hula Hooping is fun! I don't know if I could even do 15 minutes, it certainly
is a cardio workout! I'm a walker but just started with my small hand weights again, and
it has given me a workout.

One of the tricks of exercising is finding something you enjoy. If you enjoy hula hooping,
it would be a great asset to your work out. Have fun!

15 minutes with a hula hoop is great.  I think you have inspired me to buy one, but I doubt I can go hula for 15 minutes.

I have won many competitions with a hula hoop LOL.... if your just starting with it like today is my first time from last summer start off slow cuz it does work all of your muscles and i mean all of them including the brain muscles LOL.... I must have a burst of energy from somewhere not sure where because I just went for a bike ride around the block too and i would like to go for a walk... get my mom in on that one too LOL.... I will probably pay for it tomorrow because i am going to be hurting it was worth it though I had fun :)

I have a great niece that puts on shows with hula hoops, not the standard ones you buy at a store like Walmart, she even uses fire. She is amazing to watch.
I wasn't very good at it when I was young so know I couldn't do it now but sounds like good exercise for you.
luv and hugs

Congratulations on the exercise. Be careful though not to over do. Then you wont want to do it again. But the walking is wonderful and so is the bike riding. You are doing great.

I just saw hula hoops at the store, maybe I need to buy one or 2 for my granddaughter (or me)  Thinking about it, IT would work tons of muscles.
My Rheumy told me to do water aerobics well that has to wait till summer
