I'm in the process of getting a diagnosis, but they think it's fibro.  I'm 30 years old now.  My first symptom popped up when I was about 26-27, right after my first pregnancy.  I have a laundry list of symptoms, the worst being chronic lower back pain, and chest pains (non-cardiac related).  Just wondering if anyone else is dealing with the back pain.... has anything helped it?  If so, what?

LeahJ,
Welcome to the forum! You'll find a lot of people here with similar issues, I'm sure. Back pain is SO painful! I had the same problem as you, at about the same age. In my case, a chiropractor, an antidepressant for sleep and pain, an actual pain med for those times when the pain got totally out of control, a better mattress, and learning proper back mechanics (like for lifting) all helped. I also had to accept this as a chronic condition, but by then I was just relieved that it wasn't fatal and I wasn't crazy! But, of course, some or all of those things might not work or be appropriate for you. Good luck!!

Hello Leahj, WELCOME

I do not have the chest pain, but others do. I do have the chronic back pain it gets worst while sleeping or sitting to long. What helped mine was a better mattress, I have to sleep on my side, a heating pad, and I take Lortabs, cymbalta and 800 Ibuprofen which helped me alot. Hope you get the help and relief you need soon.

Hi, if your lower back pain seems to come in waves.  My chiro helps greatly in fact after my adjustment the waves of pain are gone.  Just a thought.  Back pain stinks!!
