Like I said in a previous post... I am 30 and started experiencing my first symptoms around 26-27 years old.  I'm in the process of getting a diagnosis, but they think it's fibro.  On to my question....
I get headaches often, which I know is common with fibro.  But does anyone experience other weird sensations?  Sometimes I feel dull aches and pains in various parts of my head (the sides and back of my head).  And once or twice I even felt a tingling sensation.  Anyone experience these types of things?  It kind of freaks me out like something else is going on....

Hi Leah!

Ya, I've felt some really strange things with pain in my head. I've never been someone who had headaches ... that is until fibro found me. But I do get weird ones in strange areas. If you do have fibro then those types of pains are nothing to worry about. But to be smart we should always tell our doctors if we are feeling anything that seems out of the normal for us. It's most likely nothing but let the doc be the judge of that...OK?

Strange headaches are a part of fibro but just make sure your doc checks it out first.

Yes...I get the weird head sensations also.  My scalp tingles, or it feels like my scalp, almost like it is covered with goosebumps.  For three days last week I had a sore, achey spot on the crown of my head that was so tender I could hardly brush my hair.  I very often get a headache that is right above the bone where the bows of my glasses rest...the mastoid bone?  I have not been able to wear barretts, head bands or anything that puts any pressure on my head for years...instant headache.  Even after plucking my eyebrows I get a nasty headache.  I don't know if it's fibro related...I just figured it is because fibromites seem to be so sensative to touch and other stimuli.  But as Chtuz suggested, if it worries you, run it by your doctor.

Hi, obviously you are not alone!!!  My headaches are usually at the base of my skull, sometimes my temples and my eyes hurt esp if I push on them.  I had an MRI to rule out problems so hopefully your doc has you get one too,  Good Luck

To Vestabula: That is funny you mention having a sore achey spot on the crown of your head. I had that about a month or so ago. It was so tender to touch! It almost felt like a big bruise, but I obviously couldn't see it. I have also been getting weird bruises, one on my hand, one on my arm, and one on my bum. And it was weird, I had a bruise like feeling before I could even see any discoloration... it was just tender to touch...then a bruise showed up, but it came from deep, not on top of the skin....if that makes any sense at all. It's so strange.

Glad I'm not alone!

Hey there, LeahJ. I get tension headaches (like bands around my head and my neck) and just yesterday I had that tingly 'goosebump' feeling on one half of the back of my head, down my neck and down one arm. No headache, just the tingles. Thought maybe I had poor posture or something. It was freaky, but I have had it before. Yesterday just seemed to be more noticeable than the other times.

GSD - I often have "eyeball" headaches, and can't stand any pressure anywhere near my eyes. I thought it was from my sinus issues, altho they are clearing up with help from an allergist. Interesting.

Hi Leah and welcome. I have a lot of bad headaches, actually having one of those today so I haven't been on the forum much. Sometimes I wonder if my DH doesn't take a mallet at night and bop me in the head with it while I'm sleeping I get so many sore spots on my head.
luv and hugs

Hi Leah. Yeah, I get the weird headaches too. I wear glasses that are as lightweight as you can buy, truly. Lately, they hurt the top of my ears. The things don't weigh an ounce but they still hurt. I get headaches from straining to do things that are so bad I can't stand it, like even when I cry, you strain bloodvessels and bang, that fast, it hurts so bad I can't stand it. I've been checked out by a Neuro and he said they're migraines. I get numb/tingly feelings in my head as well and yes it does freak you out.

Hello.  Funny headaches , odd headaches,  all part of the program.  Wait until the back of your head goes numb and your hair hurts.   It sometimes feels like it weighs 40 pounds and my neck gets strained and starts to do the snap, crackle, pop thing.  These are the times that I do shoulder rolls and neck circles  clockwise and counter clockwise,   pretty picture:-)    This goes on in the middle of the night .  My poor husband sleeps in a diferent room because of all the contortions I do in the wee hours of the night.  This usually helps a little.  If is keeps up for more than a couple days you should see your dr.  An epidural may be needed because at this point the nerves are engaged and need to take a time out!!!!!hope this helps.
