When I wake up in the morning.  I am sore and stiff but feel better in the morning.  As the day progresses, I feel tired and around 12:30 I am ready for a nap.  I feel progressively worse until I go to bed.  I also have another question.  Are there any foods that I should avoid and foods that will help.  Should I be taking vitamins or supplements?  I am not due to see my rheumatologist until June.  I have been feeling crummy the last month.  Should I be making an appt sooner?  Thanks,

Lisa

Lisa,

I know that going on a low carb diet is recommended. I would try to just eat sensibly. Lots of fruits and vegies, low on the breads and potatoes. Avoid processed foods. Try to eat close to the earth. That is most healthy. Try to get exercise. Before you nap, try going for a walk. See if that boosts your energy. I try not to nap. I always feel worse afterwards.

I know that fibromites are low on vitamin D3. That is almost always recommended. You might want to have your doctor check your vit D level to see if you need it. I take 1000 to 2000 iu each day. The malic acid/magnesium works for some. You can read about that on fibro101.

As for seeing your doctor early, I guess that depends how you feel. If you are feeling badly, most certainly call. But if you feel you can make it to your appointment, than wait. I guess that is all up to you. And how you are feeling.

I do hope that you feel better soon. Best wishes.

Hugs, Karen

Lisa, normally, I'm the same as you with the pain but right now with constant weather changes here I have been in pain from the time I wake up til I take my night time meds and conk out for the night. Spring storms and tornado season is not good on the fibro body so depending on where you live it could be playing a big part in how you feel right now. It causes an all out fluish feeling for me with a heck of a lot more pain even places I don't normally have pain. Hot baths and showers for the all over pain and you have to keep moving no matter how you feel or it will get worse. Distraction is good when you do sit down to keep your mind off the pain. I last til about 3:00 in the afternoon and then have to laydown and rest awhile.

I have a very limited diet which isn't the healthest but I haven't found any foods that help or make fibro worse personally.

luv and hugs
Marlee
