In another thread you mention that you have to spend a lot of time in bed.  Also, you suffer from blood clots in your legs.  I know you don't want to hear this, but you need to get out of that bed and start moving!  I know it hurts to move but your being so sedentary is actually causing more pain and also causing more problems with blood clots.

Start walking.  You probably can't go far right now but you have to start somewhere.  I could only walk four houses down and had to turn around and go back home when I started to walk.  But, I didn't let that stop me.  I continued and each day I could do a tiny bit more.  Now I am able to walk 1 to 1 1/2 miles when walking my dog in the morning.  I do more walking around the house during the day.  I also do my own cleaning, cooking, etc.  I don't always feel like it but I do it.  If I didn't, I would become unable to do it and that isn't my plan in life!

If you tell yourself you can't do it, then you can't!  But, I have found that I can do anything I put my mind to doing.  I didn't want to end up in bed and not living my life so I took the necessary steps to keep going.  I have surprised myself many times with the things I'm able to do now!

Last December I was able to walk through DisneyWorld and rode a ton of rides, too!  I really wasn't sure how I would do and when entering the park my son asked me if I wanted a wheelchair.  I told him "No" because I felt that if I got tired, I could sit down for a while.  Well, John, I made it through an entire day...from 9 AM to 6 PM!  Just four years ago I couldn't have done that.  My son was visiting and we went to an animal kingdom park and I had to have someone drive me around in a golf cart!  Now, that really ticked me off and that's when I started moving again!

So, please get out of that bed and chair and start moving.  You will find some good stretching exercises, too, on Fibro 101.  These actually were developed for the airline industry to help prevent blood clots in passengers traveling a lot on planes.  Deep vein thrombosis has caused many deaths...and that is from being too sedentary.  I want to see you start to move and enjoy your life.  There can be some wonderful times ahead if you tell yourself  you CAN do things!  I know...because I'm having a good time!

I agree with Sherrine, Today is one of those "exhausted" days where I would like nothing better than to plant myself on the sofa all day long, but I got up and went to work. And I plan on taking a walk after work today. Last year with my back i couldn't stand up straight for 3 months, and could not walk a block, but I still went to work each day and then went home and sat on the sofa, and little by little I could straighten up and I started walking 1 block at first, and I would increase it little by little. Don't give up!

Honestly  don't know what is going on in my own body  but will share.....

This winter I was knocked down, aches/pains, loose bowls, loosing weight....sleeping alot, yes, looking back I gave into it because I was scared.  It was three months of this and I understand being scared and depressed help aggravate my condition.

Honestly, I do have days usually around 1, I get very tired but keep going, I realized I was affecting my family when I gave into it.   When I push myself to do something it feels great, ok like Monday I felt blah.....decided bull I want to do yard work and I did.....paying for it but it felt great:o)

In our weakness we can find strenght in him.....(spelled that wrong and can't remember how to spell that, lol)

I'm going through a week of "wish I could stay in bed," but what Sherrine says is SO true!  I find if I push myself to do just a bit more...then a little more....by the end of the day I have accomplished more that I dreamed!  True, I move more slowly some days, but once you begin to move and encourage yourself to do more, it becomes easier the next time.  I do take very short (5 minutes) rests in bed and I spend this time praying a decade of the Rosary for various intentions. (I do this a few times a day.)
Best of luck and God bless!
