ok I know I am being stubborn and probably over doing a little bit,  I am walking on May 1 in Ft Collins with my daughter for the Ms walk, it is 3 miles,  (daughter has MS)  and so I have been working up to walking 3 miles which I hit yesterday,  it went pretty well yesterday,  yes I have pain doing it, but nothing that I can't manage,  so today I go for my walk and I feel like my feet won't co-operate - I am more of a plow horse clomp clomp clomp than walking graceful or even halfway normal,  but I keep walking and when I got to my 1 1/2 miles from home where I turn around, my left foot (ankle on down) goes completely numb,  I have never had this happen,  yes i get the pins and needles and some numbness at times, but not the whole foot and when I am walking,  it is usually when I'm sitting,  I am sure people that drove by really wondered about me,  I didn't dare look up, I watched every step my foot made to make sure it was where it was suppose to be.  and in a town of 8,000 - everyone knows me with my husband being a police officer and I am currently on the city council (thus my name).  has anyone else had their whole foot go numb when walking and stay numb until you sit down?

No I haven't, but my mom had all kinds of weird comings and goings of zaps in her feet and legs and I believe the final prognosis in her case was Spinal Stenosis with a lot of cervical damage.

But you did make it home ok, I take it? Good for you for being stubborn!!

This almost sounds like back problems.  I see you have bulging discs.  Maybe these are playing into this.

I'm sorry you are having this problem but you deserve a pat on the back for carrying through.  I hope this was just a one day occurance.

thanks,  and yes, I was wondering if it was due to my back, which probably isn't a good sign.  it is still giving me problems this morning,  so might have to call the doctor.
