It has been about 2 years since I have been diagnosed and about 3 since this all started.  I am feeling lots better lately.  I have fewer bad days than I used to have.   This is really nice.  I used to feel awful all of the time.  Now I have lingering mild to moderate pain all of the time and really bad pain only sometimes.  I am so so so thankful.  Is this a fluke or am I learning to take care of myself or just getting stronger with perserverence.

When I first got fibro, I basically had to start from 0.  I had been exercising and doing a lot of stuff.  Then I could barely do anything.   Now I can walk 20-30 minutes a day (in 10 minute spurts).  Ok, I guess I am not back to "normal" but I can at least do the 30 minutes.

It is nice to feel better.

You know how to care for yourself now. The same happened to me. The right meds, lts stress, relaxation periods and happiness improved my fibro. No, all the pain is not gone but I feel much better.

I think 30 minutes of walking is impressive.

I agree with Donnaeil.  I'm so glad you are doing better.  I think you now know just how much you can do without causing more pain.  It becomes a lifestyle.  Now, you will still have flares that can be bad but you know they will pass and you will go back to the lower levels of pain.  I'm really happy for you!

Hi, Donnaeil!  I've been wondering where you have been!  It sounds like you are doing better, too, and I've really happy about that.  Don't be a stranger.

Thanks Sherrine and Donna!  Donna, it is good to see you!
I think it is the weather, too and the fact that I take my medicine regularly.  It has been warmer lately and that always helps.   I flared a little yesterday when it got cold and rainy.

Maybe I am getting used to be able to do less and to pace myself.  Saturday I did some work in the yard, but rested before I started hurting and did work in spurts instead of long stretches.  I am not yet ready to walk all over Europe for days and days, but can manage my own life here much better.  Working on a plan to navigate Europe.   I was thinking, walk a day, use a chair a day, walk a day, and so on.
