I am wondering what dose of Gapabentin you are on.  Do they daytime doses make you tired?  Has it helped you?

Hi, my doc started me out on 300mgs 3 times a day.  I think it was too much to start out on, it took 6 or more weeks and people started asking if I was drinking or if I took something.  I haven't taken it since April 5 and that went away.  I have to find something else.
Oh BTW, I don't really think it made me tired

I started on 300mg at bedtime, and that was too much - afraid I would stop breathing I slept so soundly. I poured out half the capsules and did much better, and rheumy gave me 100 mg.
Later I moved up to 100 mg twice a day. A year later pain was getting bad again So I was put on 100 mg daytime and 300 mg at night, worked up to 300 mg twice a day. That seems fine for now and i don't really want to take more. My pain doc wants me to take an additional 300 mg at night - after the 8PM dose that takes 2 1/2 hours to make me sleepy, because I still don't sleep through the night.

I think the stuff only helps me sleep, doesn't do anything for pain. I have to take tramadol with my AM dose to keep awake - works really well because tramadol had nice side effect of waking me up (don't take it at night!) and making me happy.

Everyone has different reactions, but I would start on the lowest dose possible to check your reactions.
