So today, I participated in this fundraiser...St Baldrick's. Its a fundraiser where you shave your head for children with cancer. As a cancer patient myself, I kept being heartbroken for the kids. Chemo is awful! Anyhow, I shave my head, and I put my wig on. Jump in the car with my mom and my lil one.  As we stop for gas, I see 2 cops doing the unevitable thing they are famous for.... eating donuts and  drinking coffee! So I'm looking at my mom with a wicked grin and she says "Baby you better not get me a ticket" I quipped "They cant give a ticket for people pulling their hair out.." I let the cops look at me, then I reached up and plucked the wig off my head. One cop spilled his coffee! The other was staring like, "Did that lady just take her hair off?" They were too shocked to come over...

So thats how we do it, scare cops and get away with it. I kind of like being bald now LOL!

Hi Desiree,

That is a trip. You are so funny. I am sure that they didn't know what to think.

I hope that your chemo is going well for you. Know that we are all here for you and are thinking about you.

I hope that you are having a great day.

Hugs, Karen

OMG! I laughed so hard when I read this that I about fell off my computer chair. My husband was like, "What's so funny?" So I read it to him and he thought it was funny too. It kind of makes me want to shave my head. LOL. But, I am trying to grow my hair out, so I can't do that. But thanks for posting this. I needed a good laugh. I hope your chemo goes well for you. Take care of yourself.

Hi Dez,
Hope all goes well with the chemo. I've never shaved my head but 2 years ago I donated 2 1/2 FEET of hair to the cancer
patients. My Son took off 18" and my Grandaughter 20". It was a family thing. This time it's the same son and me going at it
again. I'm trying to match the length if possible. It takes about 5 years to grow that long and it's about 2" above my hips now.
To help grow hair use Futurebionics Hair, Skin and Nails as it works wonders. The last time I took off 18" and my younger son
did 14. Guess we're a furry family.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone! And thanks for the tip Nana about how to grow my hair faster. I've given some friends heart attacks since by being bald...

I simply ask them how they like my hair cut (the wig I wear LOL) and then ask them how they like my other hair cut and pluck my wig off. I get "Oh my G**"
