I was reading a link I was given of another forum that had a lot of womens experiences with fibro and pregnancy. So I wanted to ask here first before I sign up there to ask my question. Did your fibro symptoms get a bit worse before you found out you were pregnant? Just want to know what I have to look forward to in the future.

I'm sorry to say that my fibro came along ways after my child was born. He's 18 1/2 now. My fibro came in about a year ago.

Rianna,

Are you pregnant? That would be so cool. Just wondering because of the post. If so, I am so happy for you. If not, well, you know.... Let us know what is going on.

I was not dx'd with fibro before any of my 5 pregnancy's. But I can tell you the headaches got so much better when I was pregnant, they pretty much went away! So needless to say my first clues that I was once again preggers was waking up in the middle of the night to urinate (back then I never had to do that, sheesh those were the days!) and being almost headache free! It was pretty amazing, I tease my older kids sometimes that the reason I had 5 kids was because I felt so good when I was pregnant! lol
Gentle Hugs,
Shannon

I had fibro before my youngest son was born. I was terribly sick, vomiting everything, for almost the whole pregnancy, but my fibro was pretty much unchanged. That was 25 years ago. Diane

I didn't know I had fibro, or pre-fibro or whatever, when I became pregnant for the first time. But I just felt "different" right away. And I started getting big! By six weeks, I was outgrowing my clothes! Of course, even then I was one who couldn't tolerate any tightness. Early on, by about a month, I began to be ultra-sensitive to loud music, smells, lights ... all the lovely symptoms which have been my most faithful companions in the 28 years since. And each of my subsequent pregnancies was harder... :(

getting by, no I'm not pregnant.  My husband and I have been discussing it for a while now and within a year (around this time last year we came to realize having a baby soon is something we are excited for) we've been talking money and housing and my fibro.  With the lack/hesitation to work out and get in shape for my fibro, let alone a baby, has been hard but getting manageable.  The rest of the stuff we can handle, but I'm scared and curious about pregnancy with fibro.  So a while ago I posted on here if anyone had advice for fibro and pregnancy and I was given a link to another forum.  There I was getting scared because all of the girls who had babies and had fibro during one or two of them said it was either awesome except the aftermath of pain or had a crappy pregnancy all together.  All I know is that the average experience could mean bedrest on the last trimester.
