how sleep is a key to this disease.

I get up every morning around 7:00 am plus during the night to take dogs out. On Fridays and this Sat. I was up at 6:00 due to child coming early.

Last night he went into the bathroom, we have 2 but he had to come into ours and turn on light which shines on my side of bed, I lay there and didn't say anything, then I feel back to sleep and all of a sudden you would have thought we were being attacked, I jumped when I heard airplanes and guns, yet I still laid there, the last straw was him coming to bed and turnong on the over head light at 12 a.m.   He drinks so when he goes to bed he passes out.

I have to up tonight until 11:30 with child.

Right now our extra bedroom is being aired out. We had baby chickes in it for a few and so now we are having to air it out and clean it up.

You might be a Red Neck if you have baby chicks in not just house but spare bedroom in playpen. LOL

veronica, my chickies were in my laundryroom LOL.    You almost described my control freak hubby.  It takes a lot for me to ignor him to a certain point.  I am getting him trained that the TV is not to be loud in the bedroom and thank goodness he does not drink.  BUT he thinks we need to go to bed at the same time and get up at the same time...........I need more sleep than he does and no way are afternoon naps acceptable.  All in all it should be give and take, I usually give and when it gets to be too much I go train my dogs.  Good luck

If he drinks, he's not thinking clearly and isn't considering what you are going through.  I'd try to see if he would get help for his drinking problem.  It is a problem if he passes out every night.

Meantime, I would get a sleep mask/eye cover to block out the light.  And, if he is noisy, earplugs, too.  Things won't change, I don't think, until he gets help with his drinking.

I'm sorry you have to put up with that.  Not fun.
