I was wondering if anyone has these. I was dx a couple of years ago with gastroparesis ( gastric emptying disorder). The rehuem. diagnosed the raynauds. How common is this with FM? I wonder how much nerve damage is apart of FM.

Thanks
I struggle with FM,Raynauds Syndrome, gastroparesis, IBS and depression. I trust in God with all things. Been a tough journey and it's not getting any easier but thanks to God and my family I am not alone.

Sheila, I have Raynauds. I take Diltiazem, it is a calcium channel blocker that helps it.
Both the cold and stress aggravates my Raynauds. Raynauds is blood vessel constriction. My
fingers, toes and even my ears and nose can be affected.

I don't think fibro causes any nerve damage.

Sheila, I also have Raynauds. I was dx'd in the 70's. It might be a little worse now because my feet turn colors and my legs get mottled looking when I get cold, which is often. I live in hot dry Ca but the nights are cool and at 70 degrees I am freezing. My fingers go numb when they are cold. I just try to wear gloves when it is cold or when I am getting stuff out of the freezer. I also make sure I have a sweater or jacket with me when we go out. Air conditioning really affects me. I honestly am so use to having Raynauds that I don't even think about it very much. I will say my purple fingers do startle my friends sometimes. yeah
