I'm going gluten-free for awhile to see if this makes a difference.  I have so many of the symptoms (of course, don't we all!)  that it seems worth a shot.  I have the added incentive that both my daughters (20 & 24) have bad digestive issues and if they see me getting better, maybe they'll have more hope.  I'm just wondering if anyone else has gluten intolerance, and if so, have you tried omitting it and did it help?

I have been gluten free for almost 2 years now.  I can truthfully say that it has NOT helped my fibro.  However, I have ulceralitive colitis and that is the reason I decided to try gluten free.  My UC is under control with meds but  I always had an awareness of "something" going on inside my belly--not pain just lite turmoil.  Within 2 weeks of going gluten free the "turmoil" was gone.  I had really hoped that I would get some help with fibro symtoms but it was not to be.  However, the help I did get with the digestive system was worth continuing to eat gluten free.

Yo-yo,
Thanks for answering, I know what you mean about turmoil (from a different elimination diet I did years ago, where I eliminated just about anything that could possibly be a problem) - - my insides felt better, more settled, but the muscular pain didn't change. We'll just have to see.
