Not sure why that would hurt with fibro?

Muscles, tendons, and ligaments move your fingers.  Fibro affects the muscles, tendons, and ligaments.

My fingers will hurt sometimes. Thought it was RA once but the xray didn't show anything wrong with my hands or wrists.
I struggle with FM,Raynauds Syndrome, gastroparesis, IBS and depression. I trust in God with all things. Been a tough journey and it's not getting any easier but thanks to God and my family I am not alone.

My hands hurt a lot, very little arthritis, but I have trigger fingers. They cause pain in palm just under each affected finger.

I got an evaluation with a hand specialist and I'll be getting the triggers fixed in a few days. Fibro has made testing such fun. :(

Exhaustion and finger/hand pain are what sent me to the doctor originally. Sometimes my entire hand feels engulfed in a dry heat, and a lot of the time my fingers just ache like a toothache. I get redness and some swelling, she says I show some osteoarthritis, but no joint damage. Makes typing all day long a joy, lemme tell ya. ;)

Yes, me, me!! My hands hurt a lot almost all day every day. That is what first got me thinking of FMS when my drs ruled everything else out. And my forearms hurt pretty bad as well.

Yes! My wrists, thumbs, and sometimes fingers ache a great deal of the time. Sometimes, they cramp when I'm picking something up, and I will drop whatever it is. It's embarrassing sometimes when I'm in a store, as the item will sometimes "shoot" out of my hand and land across the asile, as if I have thrown it! I have also had stabbing pains in the joints of my fingers at times. I will look, and there will be no swelling or redness. I can only think that it must be from the fibro. I feel as if I have lost some of my manual dexterity during the past few years.

I'm another one with hand pain, sometimes it feels like there's a spike in the end of my thumb. I started with a chiropractor earlier this month and have had considerably less of that.

Lately my hands/arm have hurt, with the warmer weather it's more milder.

This week hasn't been to bad but last week I would have pain, shooting pains when I pick things up or touched things.

Most of my tremors/spasms are in my left hand.

Steppingstone - I do that, too!!

Gremom - Forearms - check! Mine feel more like I've fatigued them somehow... maybe by doing handsprings in my mind? Hahahahahaha!!

I think the hands have it! :)

My forearms hurt also. I had more bloodwork done yesterday just because I cant believe I may have fibro cause I only had 6 trigger points but I have all of these symptoms.

My hands and fingers hurt almost all the time, but I don't know if it is from the fibro, carpal tunnel or possible ra.

Mine hurt most of the time also. I have severe osto arthritis and fibromyalgia. I had my doc x ray them and he said they were deforming due to arthritis. BUT I am 59 yo.  I don't think it is a fibro symptom but maybe someone will post that can give you more insight.  My index finger joints swell all the time.
I take methadone for pain from fibromyalgia but after 8 years I am getting little pain relief anymore.  I also get RLS everynight and this is a new symptom.

Yes! I call them my "elephant hands," because I will wake up feeling like elephants have been standing on my hands all night. I suffered from the elephant hands for four years before the pain took over the rest of my body. The only consistent thing about my fibro pain is the pain in my arms. It's never "will my arms hurt?" it's "how bad will my arms hurt?"

Yes, I've had pain in my fingers and hands for over a year. I thought it was Fibro but I was just diagnosed with RA. My knuckles on on right hand swell all the time and are very tender to the touch. They are very stiff when I wake up too.

my knuckles closet to the tips of my right hand hurt and so do both wrists if I apply pressure like trying to twist a cap off. I have a ganglion cyst that is on my left wrist right by a nerve that I don't feel anymore thanks to Savella but I sure do feel those knuckles. the joint in my right elbow hurts as well. Mind you I can understand the fingers because I've broken every one of them at some point so I just figured it was due to that. I recently had xrays of both hands so will see what that shows along with some blood work. So far all tests have come back with some notation about common in those with advance aging. I'm like Hello? Why am I advancing!!

Reading from another post its possible to have RA and fibro so it could be the start of RA for you.  My hands started to hurt more than like fibro pain about 2 years ago.  Then in the last almost year my ankles and wrists have joined the club.  It feelings like the joint itself is burning or aching so bad all you can describe it is burning.  It makes walking and gripping things very interesting.  I've even been getting sensitively painful spots on the of my foot at the arch where any shoe except a slipper hurts to wear.  Fibromyalgia for dummies might help.  Its been said in there that there are other medical conditions that can come with fibro.  I'm not very far because every weekend I'm passed out because of my possible sinus infection making me more tired on top of the meds anf fibro itself making it hard to get great sleep.  So I would talk to your doc before thinking "no not me and my fibro!"

Other occupations: heartburn fighter, migraine massage therapist, fibromyalgia trainer, sinus plummer, allergic vet, weather girl and jar pickles loosener.

Translation: I have heartburn, IBS, fibromyalgia, migraine-like headaches, sinus issues, allergies to cigarette smoke, perfume and animals, sensitive to weather-body heat issues and possible RA in hands, wrists and feet.

Thank you Cajun! I always try to keep humor with my "occupations." lol. I'm sorry I didn't read that u had just been diagnosed with RA. The physical therapist I had been seeing a few months ago said I might have RA but i've read the symptoms and I don't know. They are never swollen but who knows. But yeah our nervous system is everywhere. So it's very likely fibro or more RA. Yippy for us right? Lol

Have been dealing with hand pain only this year. Comes and goes. I wake up in the morning and my right hand is swollen tingling feeling hurts to close it. I have had an EMG and my pain doc told me I had carpal tunnel but when I went to the hand surgeon he is telling me that it is not carpal tunnel. He gave me an injection in my wrist and I hit the ceiling from the pain of the needle. I asked him if this was normal and he said that he never saw a reaction like mine. I am so confused about what this is. On my right hand the nerves in one finger gets very painful if I move it a certain way.

My hands and feet hurt, sometimes its all the fingers, sometimes it's just the pinky's. No rhyme or reason to it.
