Last night it felt like my chest was spiltting open. It hurt to breath, was breathing very shallow to keep from being in pain. My heart is even fluttering. I slept with the heating pad on all night, probably not the smartest thing to do. But despite all this, I got up and walked this morning. It was painful but I am determined. I have lost 30 pounds in 8 months. Taking me awhile but I am doing it.

Happy dance for putting on a smile today... yeah  and getting my walk in ... yeah .

Good for you, Sheila. Though I'm sorry you're having such pain! Have a relaxing weekend.

WoW Sheila! That's great on the weight loss!!! You should feel very proud of yourself. Has it helped any of the pain? Usually some weight loss, if needed, will help somewhat with pain. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it will cure fibro or anything silly like that. But carrying more weight that we should only makes it worse...speaking from experience, sorry to say.

I'm soooo proud of you!

I am having a terrible time sleeping. Waking up every hour with pain. I just got up this morning instead of trying to sleep. I am in pain, sick to my stomach and worried. Pain like this makes me think of all kinds of things being wrong other than FM. The worse kinda stuff. I don't know what to do.

You might want to ask your doctor about Tietze's syndrome. It is similiar to costochondritis but hurts when you breath.
