Hi all,
One of the most infuriating symptoms to me is the shaky feeling I get sometimes  (I probably already complained about this weeks ago, someone else may remember even though I don't!)  smilewinkgrin   Anyhoo, I'll be going along just fine, and suddenly my arms and hands feel weak and trembly.  I always think of low blood sugar, but my doctor never picks up on this as any biggie, he just shakes his head and says, "yeah, we don't know why."  It's a little more likely to occur in the late morning, but food intake doesn't seem to matter.  Today it's lasted more than an hour.  Anybody else get this?

Is your thyroid o.k.? A friend of mine kept getting a real shaky feeling and after some testing the dr said she was on too high of a dose of synthroid. They've reduced her meds and she doesn't get that feeling as often. She has to be rechecked in a month. Dose could still be too high for her.

I'm not a medical person-this is just a suggestion. Hope your doctor figures it out.

Hi Achey,

I'd ask for a referral to a specialist that can find out what's going on. Your doctor should not be blowing you off about this. Many things can cause this including diabetes and hypoglycemia. I would want to know if it happened to me. If you are feeling weak and your arms are shaking what might happen if you are driving down the freeway, or holding a baby, or......? I do think it's something to find out, even if it turns out not to be anything serious. At least you will know.

Warm hugs,
Chutz

Hi, I can remember 20 or more years ago getting tested for diabeties, high & low sugar for the same reason.  Nothing showed on the 5 hour blood glucose test and I have dealt with it for years.  I would get it looked at if I was you and good luck
