I can't believe how long it's been since we talked about food! We usually do it at least once a week or more so...today is it! What weird and unusual food combination do you love? Are you the one who likes peanut butter and dill pickle sandwiches like my mom did? Or do you put peanut butter and syrup on your pancakes? rolleyes Maybe your weird combination is fish sticks and jam! shocked Who knows???... smilewinkgrin But we all have some food combinations that are a bit off the wall. What's yours?

I'm not sure how weird mine are but I have some combinations that I do love. One is Ritz crackers dipped in homemade raspberry jam. Just dip one and you won't be able to stop! idea There's a salt/sweet thing going on there. Also, when I make homemade mac and cheese I have to have frozen/cooked peas with it. Then I stir them together on my plate as I eat it...ahhh.. Good eats! That one is from my childhood and school lunches. And it's been a very long time but sardine and mustard sandwiches were a fav of mom and I for lunch. yummm

What weird food combinations do you like?

Bananas must be the rage this morning.  When I was a child they used to serve it in the lunch room, bananas sliced down the middle with peanut butter spread on them and sprinkled with chopped nuts, served on a lettuce leaf.  I still love them until this day and occasionally fix me one for lunch.

The girls I work with make fun of it, but I love them.

God Bless!

OK, I can go with a few of these...most of the banana ones...BUT sotiredoffibro...Snickers with sour cream and onion potato chips???!!! That has to be illegal in at least 43 states!!! And about that banana sandwich with the Doritos? Good thing it's not meal time. My stomach just rolled a few times...lol

When I was a little girl, I used to eat rice w/ sugar and milk, too. I can't 'DO' milk now, so that's out

Chutz, when you mentioned the salt/sweet combo, it brought to mind one quirky thing I like. Breyer's Vanilla Bean IC w/ stick pretzels, don't know why, just like it. I rarely have IC in the house, and the only time I have pretzels in is if someone is sick. So when they both show up in the house it is a 'Perfect Storm' of wacky taste.

When I eat chili, I love having a peanut butter sandwich with it. I also like mashed potatoes and corn mixed together. Yum!

It's so hard to think anymore of what I LIKE to eat, because I'm always trying to eat what will make me FEEL better! I'd have to think back to a galaxy far, far away....my friend and I used to scarf down bowls of cottage cheese, tunafish & mayonnaise on Club crackers....mmm!

Wow, I guess my husband's right about peanut butter (almost everybody mentioned it) - he always says it's the universal food, even animals love it!
