I feel like I need to recharge my coping batteries. I'm so tired lately trying to stay
positive. Lately I have been flaring alot, my fibro and my mctd have been acting up
big time. I continue to exercise, pace myself, do my relaxation therapy and ask for
help when I need it. Somedays I feel like I am overwhelmed and just need a break
from the pain. I know you all understand because I know you all must feel this way
sometime. Coming here daily, I know there are others who truly understand.
Vent over...ahhh that felt good!

I know just how you feel. Some days are better than others. Today was a good day for me I was pretty happy. I even dressed up a little for work which I don't usually do. So I do really know how you feel at least you are still getting around and that is what's important.

Yes, I do. As soon as I accept one and learn how to cope with one medical condition, I get diagnosed with another (and on and on). Not to mention the fibro, which changes daily.

I just try to stay positive, rely on my faith, and just keep going. I just try to put one foot in front of the other (or, depending on the day, one foot, one cane, one foot, lol). smilewinkgrin

I certainly do understand. (((Hugs)))

Hi Robin,

Yes, coping is hard. I try to find ways to distract myself from the pain. But it isn't always possible. But I do understand how you feel. Like I said, coping is hard.

One day at a time my friend, one moment at a time if you have to. You will get through this, though it isn't easy. But know that we are all here for you. I hope that helps.

We all understand. And yes, you are a positive person and you deserve to be able to vent when you need. So vent away!!! We are here to listen.

Hugs, Karen

You are been so thoughtful of others when we need it, always there with a word of encouragement. I sure hope you feel better soon, find time to take care of yourself. Any vacations in the near future?

You have so much going on in your body, Robin.  You are truly an amazing woman and staying "up" 24/7 isn't easy.  When I am feeling like you are, I head for a hot shower and cry my eyes out!  Oh, I feel so much better afterwards.  Things just get so pent up inside and you have to release it.  Venting here helps, too, but crying REALLY works for me.
I hope your flare bites the dust!

Robin I truly do understand what you are going through and there are nights when I go to bed that I sincerely hope that I will not wake up in the morning. I do wake up and sometimes the next day is better again. Sending you hugs and hope for a better day.

Oh Robin,
I'm so sorry you've been feeling so tired and down. You deal w/ a lot and I know it must be draining for you and yet you are always so up. You have had a very tough yr w/ family issues and that has probably taken its toll on you, too.
Sometimes when I am feeling low, I come here to read - I just don't have the energy to post. I see something you have written and it is just the 'shot in the arm' I needed. The subject may not even be something I deal w/, but your kindness and compassion shine thru.
I hope this passes quickly and you're feeling better very soon. I will keep you in my prayers, dear lady.
God bless.  Alice.

Thank you all for your kind words, support and encouragement. I got some much
needed sleep and awoke feeling refreshed. It is amazing what sleep can do for you.
The temps are in the mid 90's, so I ended up driving to the mall and became one of
those mall walkers. My mood is alot better than it was at 2 AM and the pain now feels

Thank you again my dear fibro family. I'm blessed to have you in my life!

Sleep plays an important roll and I am sooo glad you got some. I will pray for you.

Something to make you smile, my children are trying to put a band-aid on their water slide. Oh well it keeps them busy and I don't have the heart to tell them band-aids doesn't fix everything...((hugs))

Now where is that duck tape???

Just trying to make you smile.

Yes, I certainly do get tired of coping! Sometimes it's an hourly deal and other times I can go weeks before I feel like I'm going to fold and go under. For me I need to get away! Totally away. Time to hitch up the trailer, pack hubby, puppy and some food, throw in some hobby stuff and a few good books and head for the beach. Seems to be the one way I can really get refreshed. The other way is to pack the same deal only head somewhere else for a week or two. It's hard to recharge here at home since there are so many demands made on my time and energy. And I'm not so good at saying no or telling myself I don't need to keep up the house, etc. I know others totally understand that part!

Glad you are finding some good answers!
