Sheila,

So sorry you are feeling so miserable. It is tough enough to hurt all over, but then to feel so sick. I do hope and pray that you get some sleep and maybe that will help the pain and nausea to ebb away.

Maybe a nice warm shower or soak would help, hope so!

God bless.  Alice.

Hi Sheila,

I am sorry that you are suffering so badly right now. Fibromyalgia is not an easy disorder to deal with everyday. Hopefully your flare will end soon and you will be feeling better.

In the meantime, yes, a hot soak in the tub sounds good. Something to relieve your painful muscles. Try gentle stretching too. That really does help. Maybe spend the day in bed with a good book. But don't stop moving around completely. Nice walks help a lot. And stretch again afterwards.

Do you use a bed buddy? They help me, though we are having hot weather and the sound of it isn't all that appealing right now.

I hope that you feel better soon. A lot of people seem to have a lot of pain at this time.

Take care,

Hugs, Karen

Thanks everyone. The nausea is so bad on top of the pain. My stomach growls but I am so sick on my stomach to eat. Not the best way to lose weight.

We have special plans for my husband today. I am gonna try real hard to look on today. It's his day. He is a good dad.

Prayers are very much appreciated everyone, thanks.

I am thinking that the nausea is coming from the gastroparesis. May need to visit GI dr. Costo. is tough, hard to get comfortable. . I am going back to bed . Wish I had a tv in my room.

Hi Sheila, hope Sunday went well for you!!  I had major nausea every other month for quite a while.  With me the nausea makes me upchuck.  I got an endoscope and had gastritis which was reoccurring.  I made carnation instant breakfast milkshakes for the nutrition.  even a little bit helped me.  Hope you start feeling better

Sheila, how are you feeling today? It's awful when the nausea is as bad as the pain...is there nothing you can take for it, to settle your stomach? I hope that some rest and heat are helping with your pain, and you are most definitely in my prayers.

hugs,
Pam

I have nausea mediicaion but it makes me so sleepy. I made an appt. to see my dr. in the morning. Maybe he will give me some pain medicine.

I have had some fruit salad and half a sandwich today. Been laying on the couch strettched out trying to get all the pressure off my ribs.

Thanks for the support. I feel llike I bother my husband with this even though he is supportive. I feel like a terrible mother for laying down all day today.

I hate going to the dr. My husband made me promiise I would call the dr. It's bad when you fee too sick to go to the dr.

Sorry for complaing so much today.....my typing is even off today. Just having yet another bad day.

Sheila, I'm glad that you will be seeing the doctor tomorrow. Hopefully he can get to the
bottom of this and help get your horrible symptoms resolved. Sending prayers and hugs!

Sheila, have you checked out Craigslist in your hometown, to try and get a TV for your bedroom? Here in Calgary, there are often several being offered up for free at any given time...you might want to check into it.

If a TV in your room can help you rest and relax, then it's worth it. I hope today finds you feeling much better than you have for the last week or so.

Do a search for craigslist and you should be able to find your local website (and it's under .org not .com)

hugs,
Pam

The dr. said severe costochondritis. He put me on predisone, no pain medicine and I asked. I don't understand that. Oh well. Been depressed the last couple of days cause I have felt so bad. Yesterday I did nothing but lay around. I did take my daughter to the book store today and out for lunch. My chest hurt and I was sick to my stomach. I feel like a burden to my husband.

Sorry everybody. Since I started posting on the board I have done nothing but complain.
