In memory of my loving Dad. He was an inspiration to me, living with many chronic
illnesses and diseases with hope and dignity.

Because of You

Because of you
I am me

You gave me love
and set me free

To reach for the stars
My hopes were high

Because of your love
My dreams did not die

Your love remains a part of me
I'll love you forever...for eternity

Love, Robin

Robin,

How beautiful! Thank you for sharing your poem. Father's Day is still hard for me and it has been many yrs since I lost my father, but one part of your poem really caught me -  'Love remains' - how true!

I am sending you hugs and healing thoughts on this Father's Day. I will shed my own private tears.

God bless.  Alice.

Robin,

Thank you. That was very nice. I really appreciate things like that.

I never knew my father so Father's day is just another day for me. For my first husband though I would make a poster with the dog's photos on it and it would say Happy Paws Day!!! I would put little paw prints all over it. He loved it.

Hugs, Karen

Beautiful poem. I didn't grow up with my father, but my husband is a wonderful dad. I get to watch the relationship between him and our daughter; it's a beautiful thing. :-)

Happy Father's Day to all of the dads out there.

My father was very abusive to me - I don't really have a relationship with him. I so envy people who had a loving father. I can't imagine what that would be like. But my husband is a wonderful father to our two children (they are grown and married now), so I get a glimpse of how things are really supposed to be when it comes to a father.

Thanks for the poem - so happy you had a great relationship with your dad.
