I am to a 6yo dd...unable to return to work as an xray tech since my back injury.
I have been dealing with chronic back pain for 6 years (Lumbar HNPs, stenosis, DDD, sciatica) severe anxiety and migraines. Last year I began to feel fatique, aches and flulike symptoms off and on (more on than off) It has gotten much worse. My muscles on the backs of my arms, my neck, my buttocks and chest ache and when I am even touched burns and aches. I also have been distracted...unable to finish sentences...forgettful.
My migraines used to start behind my right eye but now they often start in the shoulder and neck..then move up.
My psychiatrist feels I should be evaluated for fibromyalgia.
I just want to see a good MD...someone who really cares.
Can anyone give me some recommendations?

Hi, and welcome to the fibromyalgia forum!  I'm so glad you found us and joined in.
At the top of the first page you will see a thread called Fibro 101.  It is the second thread on the forum.  There are good links in there all about fibro and you can learn a lot.  There is a link called Finding a Fibro Doctor and there are several for South Carolina.  See if one is close to you.  These doctors do believe in fibro.  I hope this helps you.
I'm so happy you are here.  Don't hesitate to ask questions because we are here to help you.  I hope to hear more from you soon.
