I had my appointment this morning with the Social Security appointed psychologist. I think it went really well. He said it was good that we went over my history to prove that my depression started before I got fibro. He was really nice. I really am praying that I will be approved. A good friend of my husband's dad seems to think I will be. And he's been through the process. So, keep me in your thoughts, please.

Hey Sassy, I will be thinking positive thoughts for you. I am just starting my application, UGH! I hope to finish it this week. I seem to have a very short attention span for this. Keep us posted okay? Take care.
Gentle Hugs,

I will definitely let you all know something when I know something. I am praying to be accepted the first time around. I understand it doesn't happen all that offen, but I am praying it will happen for me. I could really use the money. My hubby's dad's friend Russel thinks I should hear something in about a month or so. So, all I can do right now is watch the mail.

Sassy,
I had my appt with the SS appt psychologist last week. He told me I should hear something within the next 6 to 8 weeks. Maybe it's different in different states? I'm in Illinois. I hope you do get it the first time around. I too am hopeful, and prepared to file again if denied. All we can do is try. This was very difficult for me, to apply for disability. I've worked all my life. It's hard to admit I need help, but, I am taking the attitude now if Social Security approves it, then I will accept it and be very grateful.
Good luck,
Miriam

My daughter applied for SSD and was denied ( fibro. and bipolar ). We got an attorney about a year ago and they said it may take up to 18 months, we live in NC. Very frustrating.
