What have you done most recently as a "good samartin"? Was it a friend or a stranger or family member?
I came up with this idea when I was in an testing situation. I left town for a few days when my family offered to help me take care of my grandmother. Anyhow, yesterday, as we were driving back we saw a SUV litterly tipped over on it's side. Everyone was out, no police have arrived or anything yet. We pulled over due to my medical training, and I started treating two victims. One, the driver, who just had some minor scrapes and bruises with a possible bad sprain to her arm that was going into shock and a possible concussion. The other victim was just a little girl, no more than 4 years old who looked like she was going to pass out and had a nasty gash on her head. I kept both of them concious and had them get into shock position, and I refused to move them because of possible head trama, so they layed down in shock position in a ditch with people holding their legs above their hearts.  It was a challenge, they didn't speak english, nor the other two languages I can speak, so thankfully a bystander was able to translate as I kept asking questions to them to make sure they weren't going into shock. The driver, also kept having anxiety attacks (I dont blame her). So that is my latest thing of playing good samartin, well besides taking care of my grandmother.
