Has anyone tried Savella and had success with it?  If so, what exactly did it help you with?
Thanks

I don't take it, but a man I know started it about 2 months ago. He said it helps him tremendously with pain. However, it increased his fatigue a lot. He said the trade is worth it to him. He does end up sleeping a lot from it during the daytime. He had tried other meds prior to this one.

I've been on Savella a year and it has helped lessen the intensity of the pain making
it more tolerable. Before Savella, my pain was deep bone crushing pain...now it is a
dull achiness I feel.

Thanks you both for your replies. It's just what I needed to know. If it makes you tired I can't take it because of work. Too bad. Finally something help with pain and it's side effect is alot of fatigue. I appreciate your answers.

Do a forum search and you'll find a lot of info here on Savella. It has helped a few but it seems like many people quit due to problems/side effects or because it didn't help them.

My girlfriend takes it now. It has been a few months and she says she feels great. Less pain and less fatigue. So it is good to know that it is helping some. Hopefully it will help you too. Be sure to let us know.

Harley - it is posible you might not have that side effect. We're all different. Maybe you could ask your doctor if it does start giving you side effects if you can quit cold turkey. That way you could try and see?

Hi I have been taking savella fro about 4 months now and absolutley no side effects at all. I was effexor and was tired most of the day so I got off of that real quick. The doctor gave me the started kit for savella and it worked. Not tired during the day, nothing except for weight gain. A little not much. He told me people tend to lose weight with it well I gained but only 5 pounds. That to me is not much at all. I hope it works for you, it did for me. I can do things now that I could not do before. Good Luck!  tongue

I have been taking Savella for 3 months now and it's lessened the pain to a "tollerable" level. I am one that if I exert my energies I am ready for bed in an hour or so. The Savella did not make me sleepy , but I still has issues with pain and not sleeping at night. My doctor added Lyrica at bedtime and now I am sleeping well, BUT am also so tired all day. The trade off for me is good.
