Storms all day yesterday and most of the night last night. Its almost 5am now and I've been up since 3:30. Brought this on myself so I guess there is no one else to blame. 7pm last night, went down to the basement, storms were getting really bad and tornado warnings. Got half way down the stairs and realized pretty quickly something was terribly wrong.... Water everywhere. Yes the basement was flooded, about a foot of water and everything down there in ruins. So like a crazy woman, I worked hard for a couple of hours trying to salvage anything that I could. This happened to us two years ago, we are not in a flood plane, just so much water that the drains couldn't handle the water. This time I did have my washer and dryer up on risers. So now
I'm paying for it big time. My body is achy all over and the cramps in my legs and back are beyond belief. I feel like Im on fire. Mobic usually keeps me at a comfort lever, but not tonight... Time to breathe, stretch and pull out the big drugs...Hopefully I will get back to sleep soon or at least be able to get a nap later. For now I have my FibroFam to keep me company.

When i Rains it Pours but the sun will shine again.

Situations like that are sooo bad.  You over did but you had to!  I would have done the same thing and I bet you saved quite a bit for your efforts.  I'm sorry you hurt but hurts like that are worth it.  I hope your basement dries out quickly.

We have a tropical storm in my area over this weekend but I love the wind and am looking forward to seeing the trees blowing.  It has been so hot and dry here but hopefully we will get some rain.  We don't have to worry about tornadoes, I think, and those can be frightening.  Up north I lived in the secondary tornado alley and held my breath all spring.

Keep dry and have a great day.

wow Steph that sounds like a nightmare of a situation. You are a very strong woman I would have just sat on the steps and cried. I cant do anything right away when I wake up.
Im sorry you had to go through this.

Steph, What a work out you had! I'm glad that you were able to salvage some things
but sorry you are flaring today. Pamper yourself :) You have the right attitude

Minny - we have to be in the same area for sure. I know exactly what you're talking about. It was so scary running for the front door of the store yesterday knowing there were tornados already spotted nearby. *shakes head* So sorry you got flooded again but glad you had your washer and dryer up on blocks this time Those are so expensive to replace. Glad that you're safe and sound - and sounds like your family is, too. Hope your flare ends soon.

Hey guy's thanks for all the thoughts and prayers. Basement is drained, carpets have been water extracted and shampooing is finished. I didn't have to do any of that so whoooohooo.... that made my weekend. Now it needs to dry out. I did treat myself as suggested, had my own little pitty party, rested and today I'm tired and achy but not in horrible pain. A day of old movies and not much more was good for the soul.

Thanks again
Steph
