No iron skillets here, just an encouraging word. You WILL get through this. Be gentle with yourself, and ask for help if you need it. Your pain is no match for your spirit! (((Hugs)))

1200 mg. Asacol 3 times daily for Crohn's, 12.5 mg. Savella per day along with Tramadol for pain for the Fibro, and right now, not much for the PA.
I'm not going to take this lying down.

I actually have 3 large iron skillets that I inherited from my grandma. devil (I'm not gonna let you use them though, we like you too much around here).

I'm so sorry you are going through such a tough time. Sending up prayers for you for healing, comfort, and perseverance.

My humour is still intact, I got a doctor appointment in the morning for all of it, which is going to be interesting. My pcp is out of the country, so I get a doctor in the same clinic. I'm already thinking of running in with my wig and telling him I am having a bad hair day and my hair just keeps falling out (then plucking the wig off). I got to make my first impression last LOL! My reg one that is out of the country to aid his dying father, poor man walked in to see me vomiting right as he litterly looked at me. Darn migraines. at least my migraine isnt as bad today. I'm getting more humour back.

Let us know how it goes at the doc today.

I kept telling this one doctor that I was going to be sick and he said no, you're fine.
I told him again, I was going to be sick but he wouldn't let me leave the room.
So I turned around and spilled my cookies all over him.
The look on his face was priceless as I said "told ya"

I'm glad you still have your sense of humor.

Hugs

Okay, I've got to have one of the largest, if not the heaviest iron skillets this side of the Mississippi, but, and this is a big but :) I'm afraid I won't be able to lend it to you for very long. You see, I have plans of using it on myself sometime in the near future. Sorry, I do hope you understand.

On a serious note, I hope you begin feeling better soon. Thinking of you...

So I decided to be a smarty pants, and went with "Doctor my hair keeps falling out from this chemotherapy but its falling out by handfuls like crazy see" I reached up and pulled the wig off, he jumped. And that was right when he introduced himself and asked me what is wrong. He asked me if I could be pregnant, I told him it wouldnt be possible to get a response of "Well now I'm going to have to just take you at your word because I'm not with you every day". I shot a look and replied "You know Doctor, you sure opened yourself wide up for something" he goes "I know I did." I was too shocked, then saved by the nurse saying results for my throat culture came in (to see if I had strep throat which I knew I did, and didnt need that dang test). So he leaves to go look at the test results comes back and looks really happy all of a sudden and says "Guess what" I said "What doc" He replies "Your Pregnant!" "What" I respond. He says "Yes, we test it by throat cultures now when we test for strep." I shot a look at him like oh crap. He starts laughing, and I go "You brat" and he laughed more. Poor doctor aint going to forget my first impression I think LOL! Anyhow, I got strep, like I thought. He said I'm nuts, and told me he's going to test me for some stuff. THen told me I wasn't really pregnant. I responded "I know, I think it helps to be active in order to concieve" and he laughed more. So I'm a sicky all right

OMG Smurfy... You got me laughing this morning and i really needed that. Can't tell you how many times I have wanted to do something like that, but it's not in my DNA. If I would have tried it I would have probably stresses so bad about the details I would have gone into a huge flare just trying to be funny. I am so thankful for people like you that have the ability to 'Play"
My oldest daughter is like that, I never know what she's going to do next.

Loved it...
Have a great day today

oh Desiree I admire you so much for your sense of humor, I dont think I could have pulled that one off like you did. You put your doctor at ease right away by knowing that you were a fun person to be around. Sometimes I think the drs. are as afraid of us as we are of them.
