I don't belive it! I suffer from severe peripheral neuropathy as well as Fibromyalgia and I've just been diagnosed with adult chicken pox. Can anyone suggest something other than calamine lotion to help overcome the itchyness?
Thanks guys

Hi sandy you might want to try gold bond for itching or possibly benedryl not sure how much they will help with chicken pox though. Possibly worth a try though. Hopefully someone else will come along with more suggestions.

When I was a kid I came down with them and infested a bunch of kids including 4 brothers and sisters. My Mom had 5 of
us down with them at the same time...including my twin sisters. We used lukewarm baking soda baths. It worked for the
itching. Back then we didn't have running water so luckily it was Easter time and we had rain water to heat on the stove to
use. We survived with very little scarring. My brother-in-law came down with them at 35 and had a worse time so we
told him about the baking soda and he did it. Give it a shot and good luck.. yeah

We did the baking soda thing to and that seemed to help, I use the gold bond itch cream for the itch I get now. Very hard time if I'm in the sun, my arms break out and the itch is terrible. Gold bond helps with that. Don't know how it will do on the chicken pox.

So sorry you have to deal with this too.

Take care

I'm sorry that you are dealing with all of that.
They say that chicken pox is worse as an adult.

Take care and I hope you find something for the itch.

I get shingles from time to time and it's no fun.
