Hello, new to board. Fibro for two years, pretty well controlled by Cymbalta up until just recently. I was in Meijer's the other day, and found a product call Fibromyalgia Relief, it was a homeopathic tablet of some sort. Asked the pharmacist and he didn't really promote it, but asked if I had tried Flax oil. Seems to be helping after only three days. Any experiences with flax oil? Thanks!

Hi Heglo, I don't have info for you on flax oil, but wanted to take a moment to welcome you to the forum. This is a lovely place and I hope you'll feel at home here.
Why my username? It is real life nickname. I love chickens. Will have my flock of hens one day! :D

DX'd with Fibromyalgia, chronic hives, sensitivities and allergies, and IBS. Not sure what else!

I tried flax oil for the omegas because I don't tolerate fish oil, but it didn't help fibro, and was too big to swallow.  I snipped it open and it smelled so bad I had a hard time getting it down even in orange juice.
I switched to krill oil.  Smaller gel cap.  Haven't had any blood tests to see if it has helped with lipids.  It hasn't helped with fibro either.

it's a new day

I take flax seed oil along with my fish oil. I read somewhere that the fish oil is more effective if you take flax seed oil with it. I'm not sure if that's true, but the flax oil was on sale.

I like to add ground flaxseed to my morning cereal or oatmeal and to my salad. I don't know if it helps with my fibro.
