Ever had one of those days where you probably should have stayed in bed and covered your head with a pillow. Well that was my day today. I got up this morning and as usual went and checked all my computer stuff and was having my relaxation time when the phone rang. It was the clinic. They had a cancellation and told me to come in immediately for the pet scan. Rushed around getting dressed and hubby and I went up to the clinic.
Everything as far as the test went all-right and I will probably be seeing the surgeon within the next couple of days. Well so far so good but then at 4:00 my husband started shaking uncontrollably and was feeling nauseated. I finally talked him into going in to the ER at about 4:45. They are thinking that he might have aspirated on something he swallowed which can cause a bacterial infection in his lungs, so he will be in the hospital the next couple of days on antibiotics. I am so worried about him being up at the hospital by himself, but I know that right now I have to be able to get some rest here at home. I was going to wait until the clinic called me to come in for the results, but now I will call them right away tomorrow morning to see what time they want me there. That way I can go up to the hospital and be with hubby. Please say prayers for both of us. Thanks so much my fibro family.
Gentle Hugs

Season is correct.....Shirley take it one day at a time but I'm sure you do, I will pray for the results and your husband. I agree, take a break from the hospital. My MIL just came home after being in the hospital a month, it does wear one down running to and from the hospital.

I will pray for a peaceful and painfree day for you.....((hugs))

(((( Shirley )))))

Life gets so hard at times. I am so sorry you're getting slapped with all of this - and all at the exact same time. You're making all the right decisions. You're moving through it. You're going to make it. It has to be hard seeing your hubby so ill, but at least in the hospital he'll get 24/7 care - and that would be just too hard for you to do at home right now with all else going on. He's in a great place to be monitored carefully. I hope that your scan will go successfully - that you don't get too worn out with all the back and forth to hospitals and so forth - and that hubby will rally and be perfectly fine very soon. If you feel frustrated and want to blow off some steam - definitely do it here! We all understand and it is far healthier than keeping it in.

Will be sending thoughts, prayers and good vibes for you and hubby.
