Three things I want to share. I found an answer to my nighttime comfort after 11 years with FM and CFS. It's called the Comfort U pillow and if you enter that into Google or another search engine, you'll find it. Sleeping with it is like sleeping in the arms of a giant....makes me feel cuddled and comforted. Its been a godsend and worth every cent. Then, although I have Ambien I can take for sleep, I found another OTC route.....75 mg. Benadryl and 3 Tylenol PM's........I know, I know, that's alot of acetominophen, but it works, so sue me! THEN, and I'm lucky here because I've been on Social Security disability and a small retirement monthly so I don't have to get up and go to work or take care of children, but I SLEEP until I awake without nausea and a headache and sometimes that is 8 hours but more often it is 16.......and I kicked guilt over the amount of sleep I require to feel halfway good. My meds have been static and 70% effective for over 5 years.....thyroid, HBP, Bupropion, Busprone, Omeprazole, Lamictal and a statin....for pain I wear a 100 mcg. fentanyl patch (changed every 48 hours) and 10/325 Percocet 4 x's a day. Its never going to go away, its never going to get better, its never going to be cured....so I finally learned what I hated to hear people tell me.......I live with it. I can have 10+ pain for 2 weeks, then remain at 4 for 6 months until a bout rolls around again. Doctors are human, they get tired of hearing "nothing works" because they know it's true........if they feel pushed for more pain meds they might pass you off to a pain clinic forever.........so if you have a doctor who is working with you, don't blow it with complaints every visit or phone call because doctors get frustrated too. Good luck all.
