Sorry I haven't been around much. Dealing with some emotional things right now. Got my hands full taking care of my special needs daughter and taking care of my other daughter that also has fm/cfs and depression. Seems I am always taking care of someone. Yesterday was a struggle. Was tired all day and felt another flare coming on. By the time I cooked dinner I was totally exhausted and went to bed at 8:30. My sweet husband washed the dishes and took care of the girls til they went to bed. Woke up this morning with rib pain again and body aches. I go Tuesday to have an MRI on my left knee, may have torn the cartlidge in it thanks to doing some crazy workout. I can't do any kind of exercise right now thanks to hurting my knee. I know when I am able to do something I will keep it simple like just walking, that is good enough for me. No more of this hardcore stuff.
Feel like I am getting the flu but I know I'm not just another flare coming on. What is it that makes me feel this way? SO tired. Can't keep pumping in the coffee. Thought of buying some kind of energy drinks but I am afraid of the crash.

Hi Sheila, sorry you are having such a rough time right now. I will be praying that the MRI works out ok and that you dont have to have surgery on it. As far as energy if I really have to I will use the 5 hour energy drinks and havent experienced any crash from them. Hope you are feeling better soon.
Gentle hugs

Hi, Sheila.  Well, it sounds like you have been overdoing.  Yes, exercise is very important for fibro but it is GENTLE exercises like walking or water exercise that is good for you.  If I went to a gym, they'd be carrying me out on a stretcher!  It's important to keep moving and stretching and it's also important to pace yourself.
Overdoing can also be causing your flare.  Or it could be weather fronts.  I hurt more when the barometric pressure changes.  I do hope you are wrong about your flare and that  you will be feeling better soon.

Sheila...time for care for the caretaker. You need to ask for help so that you can take
time to take care of you. Is there anyone who can help you out?

I'm so sorry you are feeling bad. Try to take at least 10 minutes to be alone to relax,
listen to soothing music, concentrateate on your breathing and let your body totally relax.
I need to do this several times a day or I'm a wreck. Pain causes stress and stress causes is a viscious cycle. Relaxation helps me deal with the pain. hoping it helps you!

Hoping that your knee issues can be resolved too. Take Care and keep us posted :)

Thanks everyone. I am concerned about the knee. I sprain it back in June stepping off of a step box exercising. I twisted it. Went to the dr. and she said I may have torn my meniscus ( cartlidge ). She gave me a cortisone shot and it helped for a little while. Now it just aches and somedays swells. I fear surgery. Not only cause of the pain and possible major flare but also don't have the money for it. Since my daughter has been sick with fibro. she hasn't been able to work for over a year now and we are paying all her bills, really has hurt us.

I am trying to talk myself into taking a shower and doing some needlepoint but I am so tired and hurt so much. I just don't want to do anything today. May just rest today. Dealing with some depression too.

Thanks for the support.
