I am trying to start a business of premade scrapbooks or make custom scrapbooks for a price.  I am trying to get a feel as to see if this is something people would be interested in.  Would you pay someone to make a custom scrapbook?

I think if it was me, I would pay somebody because I can't do it.lol...  But seriously, if I wanted one for the family or something, yes, I would pay somebody.  People like weddings done and stuff like that.  And it takes talent to do a good job.

Good luck with your venture!!!

I liked Karen's idea about doing this for weddings or perhaps you could do this for high school graduations.  That would be such a wonderful gift for both occasions.  Maybe advertise like that to give people some great ideas as to how to use your services.

I wish you the best of luck!

I agree. I definitely think people would pay for something like this. I don't have the talent or the patience to scrapbook, but I can see that it would be wonderful for a wedding or graduation.

Does your town have a bridal fair? We have one where I live, and vendors (florists, bakers, etc.) set up booths and show their goods/services. That might be a great way to advertise.

I made a scrapbook for my daughter's high school graduation 2 yrs ago and boy was it hard( I don't have an ounce of creativity in me). So I'd say yes, I'd pay someone to make it for me :)

Lisa, scrapbooking is one of those things I'm always "going to do."  I love the idea, I even went through a phase where I bought a lot of stuff for it, but it hasn't happened yet.  So, I'd say yes, I'd pay someone.  Of course, that person would have to put up with my endless instructions, stories about each picture, etc. so it might not be worth it for them! turn

Lisa - you've had some great ideas here. I think I'll add one other group of people who might want this done --- military families! My b/f is retired air force, and I didn't know him while he was in service, but I think it would have been so cool to have a book put together of all his info. His son is in now, and I kept thinking how much his dad and grandparents would probably like a book about him. All those people who have loved ones now on active duty might be interested in this sort of thing too. Not everyone can make such books - but maybe they have collected the info and would like help putting it together?

I'm too cash poor to buy one - but I think there is a percentage of people who not only want this service, but would be willing to pay for it. If you're near a military base, maybe you could find a way to post a poster - make it look like a sample of your scrap booking talent - it will draw their eye and show how cool their stuff might look.
Why my username? It is real life nickname. I love chickens. Will have my flock of hens one day! :D .............. DX'd with Fibromyalgia, chronic hives, sensitivities and allergies, migraines with auras, tmj, and IBS. Not sure what else!
