Today's positive post might be a little longer. I found several pieces that all go together. So I'm posting all of them.

When I wake every morning I play a 30 minute recording to get myself off on the right foot. This first part explains why I'm doing this each morning.

" ... as you first begin to gain consciousness in the early morning, the brain is functioning at the subconscious or alpha level and there are only ten to twelve brain wave lengths per second. Therefore, whatever you program at this point or allow to be etched on the subconscious will go with you throughout the day. This is the point daily at which you decide whether you will be well, happy, optimistic, productive, successful, etc." (from Dr. Joe Elrod in Reversing Fibromyalgia)
"Each patient carries his own doctor inside him."
Albert Schweitzer
"I have learned never to underestimate the capacity of the human mind and body to regenerate - even when prospects seem most wretched. The life force may be the least understood force on this earth."
Dr. Norman Cousins
A short story about self-expectancy:
"It has been said that one of the most outwardly recognizable characteristics of healthy, successful people is positive self-expectancy - that is, they expect positive results in their lives despite disappointments. For example, Bruce Jenner, after having lost every event in the decathlon in Munich, was interviewed in the streets of the Olympic Village. He was asked what he would do now that his Olympic career was over. He replied, 'I don't think you understand, I will win the decathlon in Montreal four years from now.' With that image of positive self-expectancy etched into his subconscious mind, Bruce set out, arising early every day and working persistently toward his goal of becoming the best athlete in the world, and won the decathlon in Montreal."
"You will become what you think about all day long."
Ralph Waldo Emerson

What a great way to start the day! THANK YOU!!! That's really interesting about the brain waves, and it makes perfect sense.

Hi Princess after a short nap I am awake again and thank you. You have reminded me that I am that little train engine that keeps telling himself I think I can I think I can. I love these keep them coming.
