Every time I get a flare up, it seems to start with a sinus-like headache, and in a day or two, it seems to go through my entire body, making me feel achy and weak.  Is it like that for others?  I don't just have fibro; I also have some sort of neuro disorder the neurologist can't pinpoint, despite many, many tests, MRIs, etc.
Just wondering if anyone can relate?

Hi Luvzminis - flares can be so unique for each of us. What you're describing could easily be part of the fibro package. Have the docs checked your levels of vitamin D, magnesium, potassium, and all those other things? The reason I mention it is I recently discovered that some issues that boggled my mind were related to me getting low sometimes in potassium. Muscle twitches and wicked joint aches, exhaustion and rapid heart beat issues. It seems I get low sometimes after an ibs episode clears me out. Others here have issues with magnesium - malic acid - vitamin D - b-vitamins - etc. It is a good thing to look at, especially if all else is making no sense. After I have an IBS episode, I will often feel like you describe, the pain will spread through my whole body and I become achy and weak. In my case, I think the IBS reduces my potassium, and the low potassium creates a host of bad symptoms , and it feels like a terrible flare of fibro. It is tricky to sort this all out. Whatever is behind yours you are NOT alone.

PS: TMJ can sometimes feel like a sinus infection - but of course, there is no actual infection, just the pain. I get that, too.

I can relate! Mine often starts with a sore throat

Princess, I know what you mean because, even though my IBS leans heavily toward constipation, I often find that when I do have a really normal bowel movement, I feel better for an hour or so and then I start feeling weak, shaky, and a little nauseous.
...fibromyalgia, hearing loss, elevated liver enzymes, skin grafting (back), arthritis, scoliosis, lumbar disc damage, sciatica, IBS, migraines, tachycardia, cancer surgeries (face).......I take Nortriptyline & Clonopin daily, and Darvocet as needed
