cymbalta and imitrex

I need some help - i am currently taking cymbalta 60 mg a day also imitrex 100 mg a day - i have been doing this for a couple months - i think i am starting to have some serotonin side effects - chills, etc. - does anyone have migraines with their fibro and what are my options - i am callin my doctor tomorrow - at times i feel i have to educate him as well --

Hi Tracy...this is a link about taking Imitrex and Cymbalta together.  It is very technical but it basically states these drugs should not be mixed.  I think you should call your seems so many are ignornat of what these drug combo's can do.

Sometimes.... you have to wonder what they are thinking! When I was having Migraines the Imitrex would only work with a muscle relaxant. If they didn't get me both I would just keep rebounding.. I've never been on Cymbalta though.. speaking of.. have to go fix my profile.. meds changed!!
DX: Fibro, PA (Psoriatic Arthritis), Psoriasis, Rosacea.
Savella, Lisinopril, Crestor, Vit D, Prilosec, Ambien.

Hello. I also suffer from migraines. I am doing fairly well with Neurotin 600mg three times a day. I take Imitrex and Phenegran on an as needed basis. My primary doctor, neuro, and pain doc all agreed that Neurotin would be a good choice. So far so good.
