Hey everyone.  I have been having pain under my left under arm and right under my left collar bone.  This is a different area for pain in my body but it feels the same as the pains I feel in other areas of my body.  Anyone get underarm and under collarbone pain?  Laid with a heating pad in this area last night and it seemed to help a bit but it is back today.

Yes...under my arms and down the outside of my arms and it burns and feels swollen but it isn't.  I think it is coming from the tendons in my shoulder and my poor posture sitting at the computer.  It really hurts if I squeeze my old lady arm flab...so I don't do that...LOL!

Hi Libby,

Yes, I've had the same kind of pain you're describing. It sort of feels to me like my muscles have tensed up and irritated the surrounding nerves which made them mad....and so on. If it continues for any great length of time, I would certainly suggest you ask your doctor about it. I'm a firm believer that new pain should always be mentioned and managed, no matter what else your body is going through, so just a thought there.

Hope you feel better soon!

Hugs,
Pam

Libby, I just came back from having a massage.  My right arm, shoulder, back and neck were a mess from......the computer!  I'm on it a lot and this really does affect us.  But there is no way I'm staying off the computer.  It's my contact with the rest of the world.  So, perhaps this is what is going on.

You can find a great massage therapist through the American Massage Therapist Association.  They have to take classes every year to keep their accreditation.  If you are interested, here is a link to find someone near you.  My MT is in this association and helps me sooo much!

Sorry about the new pain Libby it seems like with fibro you get used to it in one area and then it tends to move to another. I think mine has hit all available areas now and hasnt been able to figure out a new one. lol Of course I have had this for a very long time. So it has had plenty of time to attack everything in my body. I hope you feel better soon.
