HI FRIENDS: tongue

THIS WAS MY FOURTH CHEMO ROUND.  I KNOW I SAID LAST TIME IT WAS THE FOURTH, BUT MY MIND WENT A LITTLE SCREWY, SO SORRY FOR THAT.

I AM HAVING A BIT OF A HARD TIME WITH PAIN IN MY LEGS AND FEET AND TROUBLE WITH MY STOMACH TODAY.  I HAD THE CHEMO TREATMENT YESTERDAY.  I AM DRINKING A LOT OF WATER THIS TIME TOO.  I GUESS I NEED IT.

I TOLD THE ARNP THAT MY FEET WENT NUMB THE LAST TIME AND SHE WAS CONCERNED.  SHE SAID THAT WAS THE TAXOL AND THAT IT COULD BE IRRIVERSABLE, SO SHE LOWERED THE CHEMO BY 20%.  I ASKED IF THAT WOULD EFFECT THE TREATMENT ON MY CANCER AND SHE SAID IT WOULDN'T BUT THAT I HAD TO BE ABLE TO WALK.  I'M STILL NOT CONVINCED, SO I WILL DISCUSS IT WITH THE DOCTOR IN THREE WEEKS, BUT THEY DECREASED IT YESTERDAY.

MY WHITE AND RED BLOOD WORK DROP AFTER THE CHEMO, BUT THEY SAY IT IS NOT LOW ENOUGH FOR ME TO BE HOSPITALIZED YET, SO THAT IS GOOD.

MY DEAR FRIEND SENT ME A BOX THE DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY WITH HATS AND SCARVES AND A BEAUTIFUL CAPE.  ONE IS MORE BEAUTIFUL THAN THE OTHER AND I KNOW SHE SPENT A LOT OF MONEY ON THIS "LOVE" PACKAGE.  I AM SO BLESSED WITH SO MANY GOOD FRIENDS AND FAMILY.  MY GIRLS AND MY HUBBY ARE RIGHT THERE FOR ME AND I FEEL SO GOOD about THAT.  THEY CALL ME EVERYDAY AND LINETTE COMES BY WITH THE KIDS VERY OFTEN, WHICH LIFTS MY SPIRITS EVERY TIME.  MY HUSBAND, MARIO SITS WITH ME ALL DAY DURING THE CHEMO AND GOES OUT AND BUYS ME LUNCH AND THEN BUYS ME DINNER EVERY NIGHT FOR SEVERAL DAYS UNTIL I AM UP TO COOKING AGAIN.  SUCH A BLESSING.

WELL, THAT'S IT FOR NOW.  I ONLY HAVE TWO MORE CHEMO SESSIONS TO GO AND THEN I GO OFF TO RADIATION TREATMENTS.  I WILL HANG IN THERE AND EVERY DAY GET STRONGER WITH ALL THE TREATMENT.  THANKS FOR YOUR LOVE, CONCERN AND PRAYERS.  IT MEANS THE WORLD TO ME.

GOD BLESS.

Hi Lindaloo, sounds like we are on the same regiman as far as chemo and radiation, I had my first treatment on August 19th and my next one is September 9th. I also have 6 cycles and then on to radiation. I also am taking the taxol along with carboplatin. I am still praying for you everyday and have faith that you can do this. Im glad you have such a supportive family, mine is the same way. We can do this with positive thoughts and all the prayers.
Gentle Hugs

Lindaloo, I'll be so glad when this is over for you.  It's good that you are asking questions, too.  Speaking with your doctor will ease that "nagging" question in your mind.  You are handling this situation wonderfully will...same with Shirley (sotiredoffibro).  Your strength is amazing!

Your "love box" from your friend was so thoughtful.  Good friends like that truly are a blessing.  Also, your husband is so supportive and I know that helps a lot, too.  Pretty soon, this time will be over for you and you can get on with doing the things you like to do best.

Hope you are back on your feet soon.

Really good to hear from you, Lindaloo, I've been wondering, too.  You sound amazingly upbeat!  I'm glad you have such a great support system, there's just no substitute for that.

Take care, Debbie

Lindaloo, you are an inspiration to us all.  I think I have troubles, but they seem so small to what your going through right now.  May God keep blessing you through your time of trouble.  I do believe that he will see you through this trial.  Keep up the faith and keep us all informed.

God Bless!
