My gynocologist prescribed Estrace for me, but after Googling it, I'm afraid to use it!  (Sigh)  Just figures, don't it?  I guess it can get into your system and do some of the same nasty things the oral hormones can.
Anybody have experience here?

I was on Estrace Cream for about six months and never refilled the rx for the same reasons.  My doctor swore it would not enter the blood stream, but he also told me I could stop Lexapro with out there you have it.  The warning on my tube says 'May cause headaches and dizziness' which it never did.  But to me that sounds like it must get absorbed systemically.

Debbie, Estrace is the one that gets inserted and is messy, right?? I hated it!!!! I ended up with estragel that you rub into the arm and switch arms daily. No side effects for me. It was pretty expensive 5 years ago and I ended up getting it at Sam's Club for 90.00 which was better than 168.00 other places. It might be cheaper now or your ins might cover it. It did work great.
