Ooh, I did a good one just now.  I have the house to myself for a few days, so I'm feeling my oats, idea eating whatever whenever, singing, moving knick-knacks, wiping surfaces, getting rid of junk, and changing lampshades around, with no one to say, "What are you DOING?"  So I'm trying to pull this stuck lampshade off, (with one hand) and it finally comes off and BONKS me in the nose so hard it takes my breath away, smhair and I have to back into a chair, gasping, feeling like I've been hit by a softball.  Why, oh why do we have to lose our common sense along with everything else??

Im sorry you hurt your nose debbie and I dont mean to laugh but it sounds so much like something I would do that I cant help it. I mean the dogs were excited to see me the other day and they were all three by me when I got head bonked by one of them right in the knee. Good thing I was sitting down at the time or I would have hit the floor. lol Then last week my son and I were putting groceries in the van and he went to close the gate before my shoulder was out of the way. OUCH!!! but what can I say, it seems like we are pretty good at putting ourselves in more pain. lol I hope your nose feels better soon.

Debbie, OUCH! This almost sounds like something Donna would write in a story tongue "Women breaks her nose with a lampshade".

Oh Debbie!!!
I'm sorry...it really is a major ordeal for us when the things that should be simple and easy, are such a feat for us and often come with pain one way or another. My nose just hurt when I read that, taking your breath away...yikes. Feel better soon. Did you try some ice???

Sorry, I'm the kind of person when someone falls I laugh.....I don't mean too but your post did make laugh.........I do hope you get feeling better.....if it makes you feel better I do the same kind of stuff too, we have a buffet and I am constantly ramming my hand into the corner. I did it 3 times yesterday just because I don't pay attention to where my hand is flying......it does hurt like the dickens.

Thanks for the commiseration, guys....you're the best! I actually don't feel it much anymore. It might be a little bit redder than usual, but it's hard to tell. Who knows, maybe the BONK! will make it stop running like it's been doing the past 2 weeks.
