Morning everyone.  For two days now I've had pelvic pain/ pressure that comes and goes-only lasting a few minutes each time.  Another fibro symptom? Sigh... Seems my pain is never ending.

Hi saintsfan, just to be on the safe side you might want to get this checked out by your gynecologist. Sometimes it isnt always our fiibro.

Getting very fustrated with this illness. I've spent a small fortune on doctors and meds and just plain aggravated. Soory for the pity party but need to vent. I had appt with the orthopedic doc today for the constant pain in my hip(has been hurting for months with no relief); all xrays are normal. I can't even bend over or touch my left hip without crying out in pain-and nothing's wrong. UGH real tired of this mess-I'll have to wait til next payday to see gyno. But honestly just want to give up.

Oh wow do I ever understand your frustration. It does seem never ending and I too never know from one pain to the next if it is or is not the fibro. The hip pain seems to be one of the things they expected me to have. I have had an injection for bursitis and that did help alot for a while. It seems to be slowly coming back but the relief was amazing. I have a constant pelvic pain and have been checked numerous times. Nobody can seem to figure it out. They just say it is my IBS...and maybe they are right. I did see my OB/gyn back in '08 and she did a hysterectomy (uterus and cervix). I had adenomyosis so they hoped that it would have been the source of the pain...but while it relieved several other problems...that nagging pain is still there. Mine is very low, center...just above pubic area and flares up really bad during any sexual activity and random other times too. But they always come back to the IBS. I hope you are able to get some answers and relief. I don't know about all of us...but I know for myself...this is very frustrating and it is nice to have people to vent too who understand. Best of luck to you.

Im really sorry you are having to deal with so much pain right now. I know what it is like to constantly be seeing drs. Hopefully the gynocologist can figure it out. I also understand the frustration of going to the doctor and being told that they cant find anything. The problem is that you get so used to it being nothing that when there really is something wrong we ignore it for too long. I will be praying for you that you find some relief soon.

Thanks for letting me be pitiful, lol. I"ve had a hysterectomy and gallbladder surgery many yrs ago. Left me with IBS. But no "female problems since the hesterectomy. I'm glad I have you ladies to listen to me whine when I need to. I'll put this in Gods' hands and let him guide me through.

Thanks I will look into that. Ortho doc recommended using my cane more: I bought one, put it beside my bed to help me get up in the mornings. But I just do not want to use it at work.

It's always good to get things checked out.  Then you know what you really are dealing with.  Now you know your hip problem is from fibro.  I have that too but it comes and goes.  I walk carrying my collapsable cane just in case it gives me problems halfway through my walk.  I end up shuffling home.  It's a terrible pain.

But, yes, see your gyno.  Not all things are caused by fibro.  It's better to be safe than sorry.

Awwww darn it...congrats on the Saints win last night. I had to record it for my hubby and we planned on watching it together after he got home from work at midnight...but I could not keep my eyes open to save my life. I caught bit and pieces of the game...but hubby said it was a great game...even if we lost...lol. Hope you are feeling ok today. I am off to the dr...for an urgent care pelvic exam...yay me...lol.

Many doctors will tell you that you can't have endometriosis after a hysterectomy but that is NOT true. Endo can cause pain in your hips and even down your legs. Unfortunately, the only way to diagnose endo is through surgery but since the best treatment for endo is surgical removal, at least they can fix you if they find it.

hi saintsfan,i think youv every right to have a pity party. you seem to be suffering a lot and after all we cant always force a smile on our face,at least everyone else here can understand how you are feeling. i also have had pelvic pain for all of this year, i did have an abnormal smear result but was told this wouldnt cause the pain.my gp only offered a pelvic scan but it didnt show anything that can cause the pain im in.i can really sympathise with you as iv also got pain in my hips but iv not had any x-ray or test for it. can i just add i didnt know that fibro can cause pelvic pain or hip pain. i feel iv been told iv got firbro and been left to deal with it all on my own. i am very greatful for this group as i no you all can help each other and seem very close to one another.i hope you find out whats causing your pain and i do hope you get some pain relief very soon.

all the best shan

So...just an update. I mentioned before that I have had this same spot that has caused me problems forever. Well it has been hurting worse than normal for a while...but so has the rest of me. So my urgent care pelvic exam shows that not only do I have the yeast inf. that I expected but I have a really bad UTI that she suspects it backed up to my kidneys. She says, "How can you not know you are in this much pain? I can feel it for you." I was so frustrated...how do you tell one pain from a the next...or a flare from something wrong. Well...needless to say more meds for now to hopefully get this under control. I do hope you are able to get checked out. I hate not knowing what is fibro but I am glad i went.

Saintsfan- I have a suggestion, this is something I do. I have a small diary that I use to make note of the "little" things that I need to remember and track. Consider using this, too! It really helps me learn and figure out what I can ignore, and what needs attention. I hope you feel better soonest and keep your chin up!

Sobermommy, so sorry you've got the uti on top of the fibro; if it's not one thing it's another huh. My pelvic pain seems to have dulled which I'm grateful for! Thanks all for the supportive words; it means so much that I can come here and talk to people who understand.

Thanks...yeah I could have done without all of it...lol. But what's a girl to do? I am glad yours is feeling better. I hope it continues to improve. I am very happy to find this site too. It is so hard to relate to people who don't really know what this feels like. This is such a welcome relief to have a SAFE and friendly place to come for help and support.
