Hello Fibro Friends!!!!

How is everyone doing today???

Monica- I think I'm about a 3.5 or so today but I don't have anymore Nuvigil so I am super tired and drinking Mountain Dew to help stay away. I know it's bad, but I have no choice, can't fall asleep at work.

DSgirl- I'm sorry to hear you are having a major attack on your head right now. Really bad when your big gun- med's don't cute it either. I know that feeling oh so well when hubby says that sort of stuff to me too. They try, but honestly lets face it, unless you are walking this, you can't even fully wrap your brain around the expirience. Hope you feel better soon!!

How is everyone else doing today??

Hi Hope sorry your having a rough day. when can you get a refill? I myself am probably at a 2 today but thats because I finally broke down and put on a new pain patch last night. I did manage to make it 3 weeks on the last one which is probably the longest I have been able to go. I have another chemo treatment tomorrow so Im hoping that the doc. can give me something for the break through pain otherwise this patch isnt going to last very long and they get pretty expensive compared to some of the oral pain meds out there. Of course then again this old body doesnt handle most oral pain meds. lol Oh well hopefully we can figure something out. Praying that you feel better soon.
Gentle Hugs

Thanks guys...I will be okay if I can make it without falling asleep. I'm getting ready to go to my doctors office and pick up paperwork for my FMLA. I hope I don't get too sleepy while driving.

Sunny- Thanks so much I welcome prayers and strongly believe in the power of prayer.

Shirley- Hugs back to you. I hope that your chemo treatment will go easy on you, and you don't have any reactions from it. I also hope your doctor gives you good med's to keep you at a 2 for a very long time!!! Way to go on the level 2.

I'm at about a 3 so far today (dinked around with the old lampshades too late last night!) and I have to drive to another city to be with my daughter while they put electrodes on her head for another ambulatory eeg. This stays on her head for 24 hours, the purpose being to try to figure out why she gets SO disoriented in the sunlight. We need to know if she's actually having minor seizures when this happens, and if so, do we change meds? So with all this sitting around and waiting, I'm expecting my pain level to go up some.

Good luck to my fellow travelers on the daily path of "Now What?"!!!

Debbie,

3 isn't too bad, of course a 2 is always better..but we all know that doesn't come along too often. The test your daughter is having sounds extensive. Is it painful or didn't they say? Please keep us posted on how the tests went and when you find out the results, I sure hope she is not having minor seizures. The waiting game if the worst. Prayers are with you my friend!!!!

You said it so well......"Now What?"!!! I love it!!!

Hi KellieJo,

I am so with you on the fatigue!!! It is really getting the best of me today. I have 1.45 more hrs left until I can go home. I know my family will be looking for me to cook as soon as I get home...wrong!!! I will be sleeping until hubby gets home. I hope you can muster up enough to continue teaching the kids!!!

Well...I was at about a 7-8 for most of the day but took an pain med for the extra pain...so it is starting to settle down a bit, thankfully. I pretty much knew it would be a rough time this week. We went on a 4 day/3 night camping trip. It was abnormally cold (40's) and sleeping in a tent. We had 2 days of mud runs which last for about 6 hours. Lots of overdoing it between the 2 hour drive, setting up, breaking down and playing with my 3 yr old granddaughter. Even tho it pretty much kicked my tail...I would not have traded it for the world. The only part I could wish to change would have been more time with my granddaughter. Only got about an hour with her since she had to go to her dad's for the weekend. She is autistic so you never know from one visit to the next how she is doing but it was wonderful. She was all smiles and arms up for gma to pick her up and snuggle and giggle. It was the best medicine I could have. So...even tho the pain is pretty overwhelming at times...it was worth the great weekend. I figure i would still hurt even if I was home so I may as well enjoy the last big weekend of the summer.
Trying to keep my focus...

Fibro, deg/bulg discs in neck, rotator cuff tear, exteme nerve pain in hands after carpal tunnel on both, multiple foot surgeries with pain still, IBS, tension headaches, (Lap band)

Savella, MS contin, Vicoden, claritin, prilosec, flonase, vitamins, calcium

I have probably been at a 4 or 5 most of the day today.  This has been the most uncomfortable day that I have had for a  long time, but the weather has turned much cooler here.  I always feel much worse durning the fall.   My son and I also put in a new over the range microwave yesterday, so there was a lot of reaching, lifting, reaching up, and using a screwdriver.  The overhead reaching always does me in.

Mines only about a 2 unless I try to walk any, then it shoots up to about a 5.

I wonder if it could have anything to do with me gettin out there and playing baseball at my church's labor day picnic?  hmmm  eyes   I love games and having fun outside. Even told myself.. I will only pitch, ok... and bat, no running!    Did good for about 20 minutes, then next thing I knew, I'm runnin the bases, like...    my body was uhh..  normal!!

It was such a blast too, if only I hadn't been so worried about making it to first base that one time..      actually wound up sliding, and falling right on my rump! What a sight it must of been for all the nice," I know better than to try that, church ladies"

Course now my left hip, my worse one, is really ticked off and letting me know it.

Would I do something so lamebrained again??  Uhhhh  yeaah, gotta have some fun once in awhile. wink     Warning!!!    I do not reccomend this for anyone who really should know better!!
