Hi heglo. A positive ANA test by itself does not mean much. The test determines
if you have autoantibodies to the cell nuclei in the blood. There are healthy people
who test positive, there are false positive readings. Any diagnosis of autoimmune
diseases are based on multiple blood work and clinical findings.
Your rheumy will do a full exam, ask lots of questions and run lots of bloodwork.
Make sure you bring a list of all your symptoms and your entire medical history.
It helps to take pictures of any swelling or rashes you might have. Check out
fibro 101 on top of page one. There is a pain and symptom journal you could
print out and use.
Try not to worry, stress will cause you more pain. Take one day at a time.
Come back to post, someone is always here to help...We care:)
