Does anyone else get flare ups in the the way of bone pain?
This one started yesterday, my bones in my legs and my hip are horridly sore and my forearms annoyingly sore.
To lay in bed is the best but its still very painful.

I see my specialist tomorrow arfternoon and first time appt for the rhumey in April.
I am on my own with 3 kids and I am not convinced this is fybro. I am going to ask what else can be tested.
Lyrica have not been worth taking, and I still have ck-mm issues, of the enyzme fluctuating, and decreasing cusing fasiculation.

I have been told by others it sounds more like MS....but i'm not a doctor of medicine, just of my body...

I am exhausted and i'm going to get myself a chair for the shower, i have put it off each flare up and i am going to finally get one.
My lease for the house i rent ends in a few months, so i plan to get a better shower, this one is over a bath and i worry to trip or fall when my legs are weak.

if anyone else has bone pain, please let me know...

Hi Mum and welcome to Healing Well. So sorry I havent welcomed you yet as I havent been on too much lately. I wanted to respond as I too have been having severe pain in my legs for awhile now. I am having alot of other issues, in fact I am waiting to get a biopsy done on a swollen lymph node in my neck to check for lymphoma.

I guess my fear is that it has spread to my bones, now maybe I can blame that particular pain on fibro? I don't know. I wish I had something better to say, but please keep us posted and I will do the same.

Take care.
Gentle Hugs,
Shannon

I have severe pain in my legs and hips, ankles and feet.  I have severe OA and EOA in addition to Fibro. The fibro makes me sore, sort of like I've been beat up.  The OA and EOA is another story. It is constant, unrelenting pain.  I take Tramadol every morning and then lay down for an hour waiting for it to work.  Without it, I would be in bed most days, and unable to work. It used to take away most of the pain.  Now, it just takes the edge off, but it does allow me to function, and for that I am grateful.

I hope your biopsy comes out negative.  Have you ever had xrays or an MRI to rule out OA or other arthritic conditions?  Have you ever hand an arhtritis panel (blood test) run?

I don't have any answers, but I do wish you the best.  Please let us know how you are doing.

I also suffer from bone pain. I've had RA since 7 and am now on my 50th year with it. The
pain sometimes settles in the bones so bad that it feels if you are touched the bones would
shatter. I've been broke lately and can't afford my herbals but when I get my tax return
I'm stocking up on them. I was doing a set pattern with the herbs and was nearly pain free
for around 9 months, then I needed surgery so I had to go off of them. Then the disability was
screwed up so I couldn't afford them. In a month or so from now I'll go back on them and let
you know how I do. I was soooo shocked to do only a darvacet every couple of days. What a
difference!!!

Thanks ladies, i have been welcomed a few months back.
I hadn't been on for a while, over xmas managed not too bad.
Not having to worry about kids being at school and all the jobs that go with it was a great load off my plate.
Now that school is back I am loving being there, and it's my place where i am appriciated.

I have good weeks and not so good weeks. Night time is my worse.
During the school day i can be distracted and my mind is kept occupied. I know what not do to make it through the day and the week without too much pay back pain. At night when i can stop I crash, physically, and I start to think, why did I push myself all day. But it is worth it, even though I want to type its not, I know it is.
I don't walk the slopes as I get exhausted and breathless, so I take the flat ground.

It keeps me sain and my kids are in a christian school and I soak it up for 6hrs everyday, kinda can't get enough.
Even so much so my standard of housework has adjusted over the last 1.5hrs and I don't really mind.

I'm on a good run so far this week, I am waiting for the flare up.
I havn't found any drugs helpful. I hope the rhumey will listen to me more.

I get weak in my legs and I feel safer walking up the few stairs there are than walking down them, even though I use the hand rails around school to lean on, pull myself up on brace my way down.

Gotta go....thanks again.

I had calf pain I thought was varicose veins, but it turned out to be sciatica and went away with a spinal injection.

Same with heel pain, on side of heel running under foot. I had hip pain which was sciatica and the spinal injection cured both.

My pain in hip, thigh is sciatica. I can feel it in the same side of the spine too.

Nana - darvocet is off the market.

Alcie.....Yeah, one of the few drugs I didn't react to. Now I have Hydrocodone but it tends
to knock me out. Both are plant based not synthetic which I have a big problem with.

I dont know how much my imput will help, but I hope it will.  I have bone pain mostly in my hips and legs.  I have never been able to make others understand so I am glad I found this forum.  Most think I am talking about my joints which I have as well but this is different.... sometimes it hurts when you touch them other times they hurt all the time.  Anyway, my "diagnosis" was lupus.  I am still not convinced of that though.  The doctors solution was immune suppressing medication which I am sure everyone with any type of arthritic symptoms is familiar.  This did not make sense to me so I started researching and am now studying to become a master herbalist... and I do have some education in the medical field.  So, please dont write this off as me being some sort of weirdo flower child....okay enough about me.

The thing that helped me the MOST was keeping bad flare ups from happening.  I have successfully done this for over a year now by changing my diet and adding herbal infusions.  Basically I have super powered my immune system instead of suppressing it like the doctors wanted.  Prior to this, a little over a year ago, I was bed ridden.  I could not take a bath on my own, get up and down and worst of all... get on or off of the toilet on my own.  I still have bad days when I am very tired and achy... which I will take any day over how I did feel.  As far as my diet, I cut out as much processed food as possible and started eating fresh, organic when possible.  I added things that were high in omegas such as salmon.

The herbal infusions contain herbs that help with pain and inflammation and are highly nutritious.... In short, have you tried any means of natural medicine or doctors?  It might surprise you... I know it can be hard since most health insurance does not cover them, but if you look hard sometimes you can find one.  Also, they are generally much less expensive and their fees can be comparable to a copays, deductibles etc from insurance.  Please keep in mind herbal remedies are not instant but they are much more lasting. I hope this helps.
