Dear Fibro Female Friends -

Have you noticed a connection between your flare up's and when you cycle?

Yes, it's common to flare before your period.

OMG, YES!! I also am my worst at the week leading up and during. I would like to understand why one month is better than another.

I definitely had more tenderness/muscle pain during my last two periods. I hope it doesn't last.

Yep. Woke up in a flare Wednesday morning and started my period that night. Yesterday was HORRID and I had to go to work. My clothes were driving me up the wall because they hurt so much and around 11 am I was hit with fatigue that made me want to crawl under my desk and sleep. It's been like that all three periods I've had since this started.

Does anyone else have cramps/pain that starts at the bottom of your ribs and ends at your knees? I'm sincerely dreading the next few days because that's what happened last month. Couldn't have anything across my belly at all, I could feel my thigh muscles tightening up, lower back burning like it was on fire, and hip pain like you wouldn't believe. I've always had very painful periods, but even that was nothing compared to this. I'm going to see my OB/GYN on 5/9, but I'm not optimistic they'll have any answers/solutions for me.

Bumping this because I am having a weird flare now that I started this morning. My entire right hip/butt/thigh is ridiculously stiff and I have the WORST nausea. My cramps however are fine.

I wanna go home and lay on my couch with the kitties. :(

Is any one taking a hormone birth control that suppresses periods? If so, are you finding any relief?

I am awful a couple days before and during my cycle. Im having my ovaries removed the end of the month. Im TERRIFIED it will make me worse? Or maybe with those hormones gone I will feel better? Im so scared!
