I was in a bad flare two weeks ago. I started to feel better and for the last week or so I don't have any "active" pain. Maybe some very minor pop up pains. My muscles are still sore when I massage or rub them, but no major flare symtoms. Does anyone have periods like this? I can actually do some things without feeling sick. When I have good days I kinda fool myself into not have fibro, and then people question me as if I am fine. Just wondering if anyone ever felt normal for a few days or weeks?

I do.

I don't think that I will say that I am totally ache and pain free but I call it "on the back burner at a simmer", meaning that it is fairly mild and doesn't really draw much attention. I take advantage of these days and try to get things done I don't normally get to. Sometimes I do too much and regret it but, that is very rare now that I know my "breaking" point.

cheers to you and your pain free days, hope you get to do somethings that are fun and relaxing too, not just housework and shopping.

Hi, yes i do have comings and goings as well, but as mscrowbar described there on the back burner.
I Also find stress makes things much much worse! I was feeling good this morning but 17 year old daughter
decided she was going to stress me out and run away! i found her 1 hour later but im paying for all the stress

i hope you have more days pain free than not :)

Here in the states, I find that the weather is my worst enemy! If it is nice out and the sun is out my pain is soo much better. The colder and dreary it gets the worse I feel. I would love nap and massage every day but gotta work full time :(

I also have some very good days and then horrible days. It seems like each year into this it is something new. I hate to think it but it is true that my memories of years past are almost always marked by what symptoms I had then and my level of pain. Occasionally I feel so good I'm wondering if I am finally over this fibro (haha). Winter is always worse and cold weather is a bugger. Stress can really throw me out of whack.

I know this fibro is really weird. Wax on wax off..haha. Yesterday I started to overdo it, I can always tell I start getting a little dizzy, then headache, nausea, get hot and feel like blah, so I just laid down. But I can still tell I did to much.

I too have different days with fibro.  Each day may have different symptoms.  some days the fatigue is really bad, other days (like today) fibro fog, other days, achy like I have a fever, other days shooting stabbing pains that shoot around my body from one place to another, other days constant pain somewhere.

It is a wacky thing this fibro.

I KNOW I over do it on days when I feel better.  I rush around thinking I have to do as much as I can because I know it won't last (the good feeling).  But that just brings on the fibro.  I  have not learned to PACE like they tell you to do.

And YES stress brings on my symptoms the worst!!!!
Be well everyone! scool

Yes... My symptoms do come and go....

i was doing well, but I live in Phoenix, AZ. We have things called "swamp coolers" or "evaporative coolers" that use water to cool the air. Since we have had to run these because its hot here, my fibro is acting up like CRAZY!!!! its hard:( I am hoping my body adjusts.
