Hi everybody,

I've had something realy weird yesterday, something that hasnt accured before and i was wondering who else has had this and who maybe knows what it might be? Probably its just another nasty side effect of Fibro, but i'lld like to be sure :)

I've been having a pretty bad week, the are from my knees up to my lower back has been very sensitive lately and it is causing me a lot of trouble sleeping, which in turn causes the pain to flare up.
Yesterday evening when i was watchin telly all of the sudden i got this very odd 'warm' sensation in my leg. It kinda felt like i had a fever very localy in my upper leg and hip area. I kept going to feel my leg as if i expected it to actually feel hot at the touch but it didn't. Its not the burning pain sensation that we often have, but rather like someone had stored a warm electrical blanket inside my leg. So not realy painfull but just very irritating.
The longer i focussed on this warmth the hotter it seemed to be getting. through thats probably my anxious imagination.
It lasted al evening but was gone again when i awoke, as was my flare of past days!
As it is my birthday today i will consider this my Fibro-gift ;) + my fog made me laugh again today as i went into the wrong building twice and stood there wondering where all the usual offices moved to haha!
So if anyone out there reckognizes this feeling illd be happy to hear your opinions

Hi Fiona,

Yes, I've had the same sensation except it's usually in my arms. It feels like the insides of me are on fire. It's so painful, and I usually just have to wait it out. Sometimes my face and ears get really red and I am actually warm to the touch but I won't have a fever. It's so weird. Hope you are feeling better soon.

Hi Fiona,

It is hard to tell if that is fibro or not. I imagine that it most likely is, there are so many wierd symptoms. I get hot flashes now and then so I know that the feeling of heat can be irritating. I do hope that you feel better soon.

Fiona,

First off, Happy Birthday! It's always nice to have something to celebrate!

I have at times had the burning sensation. I for the first time the other day felt like I had a huge gash in my skin when I ran my finger over my chest. It was the most bizarre feeling. There was nothing there that was visible. It was so painful yet I was so intrigued so I kept pressing around there. I found a giant knot right by one of the tender points. I wonder if something was going on with one of the tender points in your body and therefore causing the hot feeling. Our bodies are weird. I tend to think that if something doesn't come and go then it may be worth getting checked out, if it is temporary then it's just another pleasant gift from Fibro.

Hope you have an enjoyable and relatively pain free birthday!

Nana68: Thats exactly how it feels, it's very odd, and for me still a new symptom.

Thanks for tour birthday wishes Frankey!
I did have a rather nice day, the pain was realy ok allthough i didnt expect that because i was sore and stiff as i went to bed the day before.
Still have a busy weekend ahead of me now so i hope its stays like this at least till after the weekend. It's always nice to have a few low-intensity Fibro days, i'll consider it a gift ;)
I promised my daughter to got to the big fair on Sunday so by the end iwill definitly be broken again, but it's worth it for the happy look on my girls face :)

Wish me luck guys! I'll be back on monday, moaning and complaining that i overdid it no doubt ;)
