I was interested to see that there is a clinical study being done in Seattle with young people ages 13-17 with Juvenile Fibromyalgia. I looked further and see that there are studies into this in many of your US states here is the link
http://www.centerwatch.com/clinical-trials/listings/external-studydetails.aspx?Studyid=NCT01020474&Catid=218

I'm going to check here in Canada but have not heard of anything so far.

Just a stupid reply but today at work I asked the head nurse if there was much fibro in the
residents at the nursing home. It seems to be mostly in our generation (60 ish or younger).
I seriously believe a lot of it is in the chemicals they add to our food and the innoculations they
give. Between that and all the harsh "drugs" which cause more damage than help us it's no
wonder we are in such sad shape. After my second mandatory "flu" shot I couldn't even walk.
Luckily, they are no longer mandatory in the nursing home and I have a drs not on file
saying I'm allergic.

I think it is interesting that many of us older ones remember having "growing" pains and other symptoms as kids that were not understood and sometimes went into remission for several years only to reappear in adult-hood. Thank goodness in spite of a lot of ignorance in the medical community in some quarters there is understanding and research.

I had a lot of things that my mom often dismissed as "growing pains" even when the doctors told me I had finished growing. In addition, I am part of that juvenile generation. People often believe that people cannot get it so young. Actually, I just started a blog about it. tooyoungforfibro.wordpress.com I hope you'll check it out once I start actively posting. It is interesting that not many people at the nursing home would have it when you'd think the most people with fibro would be there.
