I think I'm in a "flare" but not sure.. very stressed out lately and now my symptoms have returned. However, I wonder about
the thyroid connection too as my dr recently dropped my thyroid dose.. Not sure what to expect at this point and do you all raise your meds during a flare or do anything different? I'm not sleeping (barely), everything hurts again, and I feel like heck... any advice appreciated.

Wish I could give you some wisdom on this, but I've never really experienced clear-cut differences enough to know when I'm in a flare and when I'm not. Something is always acting up, then it's something else, no 2 days are the same. Of course, some days are harder than others, but it's not day and night.
Sorry that's not much help! I guess I'd say just listen to your body and if it needs extra rest, extra meds (within reason) or whatever else, go with it.
I have thyroid issues too, and never know what's causing what (sigh!) I always get this picture in my mind of the old Star Trek show, where Dr. McCoy would run a scanner over someone's body and in a few seconds, that would tell him exactly what the problem was. If only! I hope your pain fades away.

It's Levothyroxine 25 mg. I haven't looked into it any further than that.
What are you taking?

I take Armour Thyroid... has more than the T4 only... have you been to the site: stopthethyroidmadness.com? Has tons of great info. I tried T4 only for a few years... felt like crap... still had all the low thyroid symptoms... much better on Armour (t1, t2, t3, t4)
