You've heard of that old saying? Well, I'm drowning! smhair

A few days ago my brother called begging for some gas money to get back and forth to his dyalisis. Feeling generous I send him $100. :-)

That afternoon our circuit board on out heat/air unit went out! shocked

Then our stove blows a heating element! mad

Now my laptop screen has gone blank! skull   (I'm borrowing my father's desktop).

On Wednesday I'm supposed to see my Rheumy and pay upfront for my visit. shakehead

He'll want tests done, naturally. eyes

On top of that I'm in a flare! smhair

Can I just cry now? sad

Bless your heart.

It has been a year for us to. We have replaced a refrigerator, a freezer, a laptop, a heating and air conditoning ssystem, and or fixing to need a lawnmower. Its a lot but the freezer was as old as our marriage which is 41 years, si I couldn't fuss. The refrigerator was almost as old and the a/c and heat at least 25. I told the kids Dad wa replacing everything but me.! lol

But I do hope you feel better and I do know how things can come in bunches. Hope your weekend gets better.

Joy, I'm sorry you are having these problems. Yes, when it rains, it pours. Like Bluejeans, last year was my year and even into this year. Last year I replaced a 55 gallon hot water tank, had a freezer repair, also needed a new whole house air conditioning system replaced, and needed to replace my over the stove microwave. This year so far I had to have the air conditioning in my car repaired and four new tires, and two weeks ago I had to have a pool repair and an electrical problem in the house repaired. I live on social security and what's left in my stocks. Ouch! I still have $1,300 worth of dental work awaiting me next month. It never ends, does it?!!

But, you will be blessed for helping your brother out and, somehow, things do get paid for. You definitely don't need the flare, though. I hope that eases up for you soon. Take a deep breath. Everything works out eventually.

So very sorry for what your going thru, and I hope things improve for you soon.
It does seem that way, but maybe see if you rheumy can give you a discount if you can pay with cash, some doctors do offer up this type discount but you need to ask. Get several estimates for your ac and go with the best one. If you have a microwave then the stove can wait or you can go to the Sears outlet store and shop around the discounted stores for bargines on scratch and dent items...
Prayers for things to turn around for you soon and keep hope....

Joy,

Sorry your weather system is whacked :) Hopefully sunny days are ahead!

Can commiserate with life going to hadies in a hand basket.. last year we traveled over 60 times to a distant hospital for treatment..several times for me and our daughter...so, I told her since we were having such a rough year, we would have her birthday party as a "New Year Party", and start our new year all over again :)

We even managed to find some left over new years decorations at a local store (since my daughters birthday is in March, I was a but surprised, even more surprised they WEREN'T on SALE!)..anyway, so we had a BIG party for her and her friends...bought plastic champagne cups..made them all their own charms with their names on them for the "Ball drop"...and their sparkling apple juice... it was great...
Did our family Easter that weekend... all was wonderful! We really felt like it would be ok..
Fast forward to that Monday..our dog was hit by a car, the washing machine broke down, the dishwasher died, and I drove hubby's truck to work (an hour from home) and it died in the parking lot at work :)

I was like REALLYYYYYY?????? WHO MISSED THE MEMO??? WE STARTED A NEW YEAR>>>>>
One of my friends, said, yes, and apparently you started it just like you left off last year :)
Now I can laugh at these things.. but back then it was somewhat less than amusing..

I got some money relief. Found the part for out heating/air unit for a rediculously low price. :) My father knows how to install it and he's paying for half. :))
The oven unit isn't too bad and we'll get that on Monday. Daddy knows how to install it (again). ;)
I have to wait until Monday to get my laptop fixed. Hopefully it won't cost too much to fix. If it's to expensive I'll just go get a better one later. I'm suffering from serious computer withdrawal right now. :(
Flare is still griping due to weather changes in my area and more storms predicted for the next five days.
I'm feeling a nap creeping on right now.....

Joy,

I hope you were able to get your nap. And I hope that it helped to relax you a bit.

Sometimes things come in clusters, and there appears to be no end in sight. Then just when you're ready to tear your hair out, things start to fall into place.

I am glad things are starting to look brighter for you, hope it stays that way. :)

God bless.  Alice.

Joy, I'm so happy things are working out so well for you. Every once in a while I luck out because I have friends who are in the construction field and can help me out. I have found a great appliance repairman who is very fair and that eases my mind as my appliances are getting older. Now I need to meet an electrician. LOL

I hope you have an easy fix for the laptop, too.

Hey, everyone. I've been a bit Mia lately. It's been a year for us, too. My issues with other health problems are coming to head and making it harder for me to get around. I have structural issues in my knees, elbows and shoulders. Unfortunately, we've made no headway into finding any relief.

My uncle also died almost a month ago. That's been hard on my mom and I've been trying to help her. Our relationship is strained so this is difficult. I've also got one uncle who is taking it all especially difficult as he has only one son who died in combat 4 years ago. I'm trying to stretch myself between them.

My daughter has to have surgery this summer to elongate some tendons in her left foot. It's very expensive and her father has decided he no longer needs to pay child support because this is an "elective" surgery. Now this child is on my current husbands insurance and the surgery is very necessary. Her foot has no padding on the bottom and the ligaments and tendons are so tight that her toes won't lie down. She can only wear specially ordered shoes.

My car continuously has been breaking down. Every time I turn around I'm stuck somewhere, usually with the kids. My husband works a job where he can't have his phone even on him. I've had to have the stupid car towed so many times this year.

Now we're coming up on my kids' birthdays. They are 3 days apart. My dad asked for separate parties because he doesn't want to be near my mom. This after he never paid any respects to my uncle, who he was friends with.

Too much stress has me glaring up. I'm back to no sleep and aching all the time. I'm ready for summer. Hoping the sun brings easier times.
