Hello. I was hoping to get your advice on something.

So i've been carrying a lot of muscle tension due to stress and anxiety, which leads to chronic back pain, neck pain. My doctor put me on this combination of two in one drugs ( Gabapentin 400 mg and nortriptyline 10 mg for 10 days).

The drug.com states that titration for Gabapentin should be done starting with day 1 300 mg and day 2 600 mg and so on.

So im worried about the dosage, the lack of titration. Even though i have to take a consistent dose of 400 mg for 10 days, with no increase in dosage. I'm still concerned about not working my way up to 400 mg's. I also understand that its not really a high dose, it can be taken upto 2400 mg safely ( with proper titration).

I have health anxiety and this kind of uncertainty is a big time trigger for me. I know i should be asking these questions from my doctor ( and i will) but my appointment isn't for a another couple of days. So i was hoping in the mean time you could offer some insight as to if my worry is exaggerated or justified.

Wondering what type of doc this is. I'm on gaba & titered up to 300 mg over 3 weeks when I started it a year ago. I'm not a doctor but I would think about getting a second opinion if I were you. Gabapentin (neurontin) is a powerful anti-convulsant medicine, also used for nerve pain; that affects your brain chemicals. You ARE justified!
